sorry to be that guy but there were some things I couldn't take seriously. In the beginning they chose to kill the two extras first before any of the main characters, and it was pretty obvious that nobody was actually gonna get their throats slit when they kept teasing it. Also the woman hesistating to shoot carol right away even though carol killed all her people. elsewise a good episode

I don't think anyone in their right mind would think they would start off the episode with Glenn dying.

I agree with the Mary part, how the hell did Carol have the time to turn around and spray a round of bullets at her without getting shot? When she left her behind with that bullet in her kneecap it reminded me of Joel killing Marlene in The Last of Us and it was perfect. Also Morgan showing up at the end is probably one of my favourite scenes in the entire show

Morgan's epic ass reveal was epic. He was such a mess in "Clear", it's nice to see him cleaned up and looking fierce.

Meh, in regards to the Mary scene, "villains" always talk too much and what not. I love that carol shot her in the leg for delaying the answer to her question. It was sickly poetic having Mary devoured by zombies considering their cannibalistic ways.

Also, did people recognize the blonde guy in the throat slit scene????? I did.

Now that I think about it, why the hell did none of the guys who had their throats slit turn into walkers? Are we supposed to believe that the baseball bat destroyed their brains when they were hit?

Either they didn't have enough time to or slitting their throats emulated decapitation therefore true death

The argument about not having enough time to turn doesn't really make sense, since the ones who had their throats slit died before the "butchers". I don't think that they didn't turn, it's just that they didn't show them in the episode.

I thought the time varied person to person for the transformation. Like, for some it's almost instantaneous and for some it takes hours.

Come to think of it, I didn't even think about the bats. Perhaps they were suggesting the bats killed the brain...seems lame if that's the case.

Rick even says let them turn. IIRC people dont turn in like 2 seconds, and they left the butcher house pretty soon after killing the butchers.

Your right that the time is different for everyone, I would think that after slitting each of their throats they would immediately put a knife to the brain, I mean who wants to eat a human if they turn in a couple of seconds. Also awesome catch on the blonde guy, now it totally makes sense why him and Rick had that look before he died and why Carol was looking at the watches before she picked up Daryl's Crossbow.

The only morality in a cruel world is chance.
For some reason I wasn't expecting Rick and co to break free from Terminus in the first episode. I thought it would play out in 2 or 3 episodes.

Why did he Rick stop them from knifing that dead guy who was getting chopped up in the slaughtering room? Why did Rick want him to turn instead?

The group really should've done what Rick said and went back and wasted every last one of those Terminus people. Without a doubt that decision will come back and bite them in the ass.

I wonder if Tyreese really killed that one guy like he said he did, but I doubt it. Wonder if we'll see him again.

This can't be the end of Terminus already, right? I want more. Can't wait to learn the entire back story of that place and Garrett.

All in all a very good episode.

Edit: Where the hell is Beth??

1.) I was also surprised they up and left Terminus in one episode. Kind of refreshing considering the spend seasons at the Farm and Prison.

2.) IMO, Rick wanted him to turn so THEY wouldn't be able to eat him. Or maybe he wanted him to turn so maybe it could take out someone at Terminus. I don't know...it was kind of random.

3.) No doubt they should of exterminated the termites (hehehe), Garreth comes back (via the extended previews before the season 5 premiere) and surely someone from the group will die because of it.

4.)I personally don't think Tyreese killed him. He acted so strange when Carol was about to go in and kill him for touching Judith. I bet the cabin dude will reunite with Garreth and they will definitely hunt down the group.

5.) Beth is in some kind of "prison" situation with Father Gabriel. She is alive and she fucks shit up!

Putting a bullet or knife into someone's head after they die usually indicates a form of kindness to the deceased. When Oscar died trying to help Glenn and Maggie escape Woodbury, Maggie shot him in the head after he was mortally wounded because she didn't want him to turn. Even the members of woodbury including Merle, would make sure that dead ally's would not return. The people that died were people they knew and making sure they don't come back is an act of kindness to the deceased. Daryl killing zombie Merle is another good example. Rick was being cold to the butcher's by leaving them to turn, because they don't deserve any sympathy from him.

That's kinda wat I was thinking. Then I thought.. having been on the road so long rick and co. are used to dealing w walker infestations and have more experience while others don't. Maybe he wanted to use them in hopes it would put more burden on his enemies? Idk.

Fucking awesome episode though. definitely cant wait for the rest of the season.

If that's the truth it's a decision that almost bit Abraham in the ass

The walking dead has been shit ever since they killed of Shane imo. First episode of the new season was good indeed, hope it stays that way through the entire season.
