New heroes for MKX

With all the Earthrealm heroes gone, Cassie (daughter Sonya & Johnny) is the only new hero in MKX.

Sad that if only there were new heroes to take the old ones' places once they're resurrected to normal in the end.

- Sonya & Johnny raised Cassie
- Raiden is having trouble saving Earth
- Liu Kang is out cold
&
- Sub-Zero? Can't tell whether it is Kuai Liang reborn, Bi-Han or a new one.

Any ideas about bringing out new heroes?

He's more of an anti-hero than a full on antagonist. He just wants revenge for his family and clan, thats it. I mean Liu Kang does "protect" earthrealm but ehh other than that he's just there. Plus when Liu Kang died in the old timeline he stayed dead until zombie mode, he didnt have a soul. But at least Scorpion is already dead, and cant be killed again b/c he's a spectere. Scorpion does have humanity and reason left in him when Raided did make a deal with him in MK9 to resurrect his clan and family, for not killing Sub-Zero, but you know Quan -Chi and his BS go to him etc.

None of that is heroic in any sense of the word(the simplest definition of a hero that you can find via a simple internet search being a person, typically a man, who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities), in fact Scorpion has actually accomplished way less than Liu Kang despite having only one actual goal over the course of the entire MK series.

On the other end of the spectrum you got Sub-Zero 1 whooping Quan-Chi's ass and going on a grand journey in Mythologies, and then Sub-Zero II actually being a fully fledged protagonist in the original timeline actually helping people and fighting on the side of good, and again in the MK9 timeline even as a cyborg. Johnny, Sonya, and Jax have obviously done heroic deeds in the lore.

Hell even Quan Chi is more of a hero than Scorpion, because he actually did things that resulted in the deaths of serious antagonists like Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, and Sindel. He's evil as shit, but he's technically actually done things that have aided the protagonists.

I'm thinking you might be getting the terms "hero" and "main character" confused.

That, I can believe to some degree, but a hero?

I mean technically Scorpion becomes a hero later down the line, when he becomes like the elder gods' chosen one, after being saved by them from a soulnado when Drahmin threw him there.

I can say that Liu Kang was never a hero lol he was a horny boy running after Kitana :p Kung Lao was going through all the shit while Liu Kang just put his finishing touches and act like a hero :p I don't think there was a hero cause everyone is messed up lool :p

I'm totally up for new heroes. Have some that are returning characters (Kai, Fujin and Bo' Rai Cho come to mind) but have more new than old. Maybe have another two or so that are descendants of characters, but have at least three or four entirely new characters that Raiden recruits.

We have D'Vorah and Kotal Kahn as major villains already, so why not have new major heroes to coincide?

He still wasn't a hero. He was just doing somebody else's bitch work. Scorpion has been somebodies bitch in every game since MK2 and he never even gets the job done.

Besides Johnny is a better character than Sonya, I hope he makes it in and she doesn't if it really came down to it.

I think Johnny makes a better protagonist than Liu Kang, honestly.

Heroes are lame.

Everyone hates the heroes in mk other than Johnny cage because hes actually funny. No one likes liu kang or sonya and raiden is even kind of a lame "hero" (especially in mk9 where he is a complete dumbass). Now lets look at the bad guys:
shang tsung-badass sorcerer who steals souls

Ermac-badass grouping of Evil souls

noob-badass blacked-out ninja resurrected in the netherrealm

quan chi-badass woolaying sorcerer who manipulates everyone to do his bidding.

Sub and scorp have been both villains and heroes but they are way more awesome as villains.

Heroes are lame

In the original mk movie I remember wanting sub zero to body liu kang in their fight... same with scorp against cage...
