Get an xbox, never had a prob with lag. Every fighter I've played on ps was unplayable. It's not the game it's your system.

Man does net suck in MK9 but injustice was an improvement IMO but not perfect. I can't see why though after KI currently is on XBONE with the best online exp. imo for any fighting game, NRS has to fix online. I mean this is their first fighting game for gods sake and ever MK since MKD been online. I also wonder to those that have Injustice on PS4 hows PSN? Do u have lag? Also the 2nd highest Fios tier connection possible. I only see lag if its a bad location or if its the other players fault IMO because i know its not mine. Current connection is
so like I said if you live anywhere next to NYC its you not me!

Are you serious? Could you elaborate?
I already did in another post. It's all about distance and ping. The amount of data you can transfer within a certain time means nothing because it doesn't make the data travel from one player to another any faster. The speed of light is the speed of light. You really only need a small amount of bandwidth to send the data required for a 1 on 1 fighting game.

I so agree with this as a tech guy, but I have experience some crazy shit. I have played people on Steam MK9 that lived in Russia/UK and actually the game played better then those that live in the West Coast from me (East Coast).
Besides those few moments that i am like WTF yeah i agree. Also the players i did play all had Fiber had if that means anything (which it shouldn't IMO). Maybe even over seas the ping is still better at times then someone in the US (Coast to Coast) when the lag is factored in. I have also played people in NYC (played sups on PSN awhile back) and we both experience the worst lag in MK9 i have ever seen heh.

I think east coast to overseas probably seems more stable because of the poor infrastructure in the US. Also packet loss is a factor. Some people just have some terrible wiring or a ton of wireless interference.

Ah, the most used excuse in the books for someone who wants to blame everything but themselves for their losses, poor skills, etc.

My internet isn't even the best and I rarely, RARELY, have issues with either MK9 or Injustice online. At the moment of typing this post here is my speed

That's from Dalton, GA to San Francisco, CA

All you need for multiplayer gaming to not be ass is an upload speed of 2+

Online is NEVER going to be EXACTLY the same as offline so quit your goddamn whining over it and level the fuck up.

Or as @HomeLee1121 would say...

Get a better connection.

Online is never gonna be exactly the same as offline, however there are many fighting games that came out recently, with perfect online gameplay. It would be a shame if NRS messes up on the netcode again

just saw this... That is pretty terrible (well not terrible but VERY mediocre) So I can see where you would get some serious lag )... But maybe you dont have FIOS were you live... What city do you live in ? or what provider do you have.. ?

It's posts like this that really reinforce what I originally stated here. Obviously fighting games aren't perfect online but they don't have to be terrible like mk9 and injustice. Once a game gets to a point where there's like 5 or more frames of lag it changes completely. Anybody that's even decent at fighting games knows that every frame matters. On average in nrs games I'd say there's like 6 or 7 frames of lag in the best connections compared to the 2 or 3 in other games. Let's think about what that means. Everything you do or react to on screen happens 6 or 7 frames late. This makes things that you can normally react to become a guessing game. It gives characters new mix ups that aren't even intended to work in the normal game. That's just the tip of the iceberg.

You obviously seem like you're trying to justify your wins online that don't even matter in the first place. People are frustrated that the game could play a lot better but doesnt. People just want improvement in the netplay but Instead people that go into donkey flowchart mode when they play online feel insulted that people aren't happy. I don't like insulting people but you pretty much told everyone that doesn't like the online to level up. I think that's kind of stupid. I blame myself all the time, I accept when I need improvement otherwise I'd never improve. I understand what it takes to become good at something.

The online in these games is a joke. It's not your connection if other fighting games don't have these delay issues. The better connection argument is ignorant.

I'm not trying to justify any online wins I have... Hell I'm like .500 in win/loss ... I don't care one bit about that.

My point is... people use the excuse of "oh the netcode is terrible" way too much. Like, it's online... wtf do you expect? Either play it or don't. Just quit fucking whining about it.

Or get a better connection and you won't have that terrible lag. Like I said, I rarely have any issues with either games' online play.

It's online get over is just stupid to say though considering the online in other games is better. Why accept something that's bad if it can be improved?

I don't play online anymore because of how bad it is. A lot of people don't play online at all because of this. The online community would probably be a lot larger if it was better. Match up knowledge would be more available and accurate. There's just so many good benefits to a competent online.
