Windows 10 Announced Officially

So it was announced today. It looks much better than the atrocity that is called Windows 8.

Just got a new desktop last year with windows 8. Hate it.

Microsoft have this good/bad cycle:
Windows 2000 -> ME -> XP -> Vista -> 7 -> 8 -> 10

If they follow the cycle one more time, then Windows 10 is going to be good lol.

If you download a program called Classic Shell it makes Windows 8 a much less painful experience. 8 was a complete failure and Microsoft knows it, at this point they stock new PCs with Windows 7.

I'm excited for 10, I think they've learned from their mistakes.

Windows 7 was by far my favourite of all the Windows versions that I tried. I got that awe when I tried it. I use Windows 8 because it came installed on my new laptop, but I really like Windows 7.

I hope Windows 10 will make me as happy as 7 did.

I hear a lot of people complaining about 8 all the time, but I got used to the interface pretty quickly and it doesn't bother me at all now. I actually kinda like the newer start window interface being a full screen thing instead of a smaller window (which is all it really is).
I'd say all I really dislike about it is the interactions with the edges of the screen to bring up things like the control panel and all that; I'd rather just have that included in the start menu thing somewhere.
Curious what you and others in the thread find so off putting about 8.
