Well, I agree her story mode role was weak. I have fond memories as a kid of playing against her every time as a secret character in MKII, so I've always liked her in general. She's just been so disappointing as a playable character overall. MKX could be a chance at redemption. If NRS played off her arcade ending it might be interesting....or not.

I loved the way she played in MK9 except for her dmg output at times. Her normals and strings looked so fuckin stylish. I love her anti-zoning style of play and overall I had more fun playing her over Kitana and Mileena.

Mileena was the boring one if you ask me. She didn't appeal at all to me. To me she was very mundane.

What you just said could LITERALLY be applied to EVERY character in ANY game based upon a point of view/perspective/taste.

Storywise:
1.) She was Kitana's childhood best friend (cool by association)
2.)She was the first ever female (secret) battle (MK2) (nostalgia factor)
3.) She was ordered to capture and assassinate Kitana in UMK3 (she is action oriented and an assassin)

Aesthetics:
1.)Green female ninja
2.) Staff weapon
3.) Glow/Flash through projectiles
4.) bad ass shadow kick
5.) boomerangs

4.) Interesting backstory in the original timeline: Commander of the whatever Edenian Army. Saved Kitana's and Sindel's ass a couple of times.
5.) Confident character, who struggles between different meanings of loyalty.
666.) Hot.


Playwise:
1) The only character to use a staff in MK9
2) Midrange and counter zoning archetypes combined interestingly. Lots of tools to cover both archetypes ( Her close game is what makes her a shit tier)
3) One of the best specials in the game: Ex glow

Well, we still don't know if they're sticking with dead characters for MKX or not so really we don't know at this point.
