I think your math can use some major work. You're once again suggesting that Bane will land first hit, get the knockdown, and take away the whole lifebar against a competent Zod who knows his options and 9-1's Bane with IAZB's when he's not on his back.


So yeah, even the death of lifebar #1 resetting the momentum could be enough to seal the match. It's a complete bill that you not being able to mash out specials to wake up for free means you automatically lose the entire match as soon as you're knocked down lolol.

The point is you could kill them after one knockdown and the guessing game is heavily in Bane's favor. That is true. The bill is saying characters having an option to parry or backdash is this big problem that limits his OKI.

Bane's oki is so strong in some matches that characters having an OPTION is seen as a problem for Bane. That is extremely telling.

There's nothing absurd about the amount of mixups Bane can do if he wants to catch a backdash and avoid a parry and if Zod/Batman knows how to block and/or pushblock. The knockdown game is in his favor but he needs way more reads from there to win than Zod does to win from anywhere else on the screen if he gets his one right read on wakeup.

I mean who really still even thinks Bane beats Batman or Zod besides salty ass Catwoman mains? Lol

Okay so I land a low into double punch for like 15% damage and reset the situation so I can hope to do that again... OR Zod escapes and it's back to 9-1 him again. Bane absolutely DOES get fucked up when he guesses wrong if he hasn't made the most of his knockdowns against a good Zod or Batman and has to deal with their shit again.

You SHOULD care about the matchup numbers because if Bane won for free on knockdown they WOULD be even, but they aren't for good reason. As long as some characters can get out and its HEAVILY in their favor again, those matchups are 4-6 for Bane. Sorry your character can't even get out because she's useless from there too even if she did, boss. I think your Bane up-playing is ridiculous though.

Pretty sure most people agree that (zod at least, im not totally sure about batman) are 5-5s. Here's a tip for avoiding a parry if you think it's coming, DONT PRESS ANY BUTTONS (or ya know, command grab, d1, b2, and b1 work just fine as well ). Just because you can't aimlessly press any button you please on knockdown because of a parry doesnt mean that it sucks for bane. And stfu with this "knows how to block" bs. You can use 6 different tools to mixup your opponent, and im not even talking about a normal xx command grab/double punch mixup off of most of those tools. So yeah, you can know how to block, but you can still open anyone up (except zatanna because she shouldnt let you touch her). This bane downplaying is a 100% bill of goods mr @GGA 16 Bit
