Below are videos from the event taken from my camcorder and the Grand Finals Consisting of Pigsofly and Team Shoalin Monks was professionally recorded and will be on youtube and posted here probably Monday/Tuesday of this week

Team Pigsofly knocked ATl_Red and Atl_Batman to Losers in Winners Semis Match and Team Shaolin Monks came roaring back in Grand Finals after completely re arranging the way they played. Please compare the videos from the Semis I'm posting to the one that will show up on Youtube where they adapted and killed it.

The Way the tournament was best 2 out of 3 per team member with the winner staying so basically each team member had to lose twice to lose.

Also YOU HAD TO PICK ONE CHARACTER and stick with that character the WHOLE tournament. I really hated this ruleespecially in Grand Finals but... eh..I Would have loved my C Sub then

Different way of running it but looks like a lot of fun will have to mention this for our next local. One character sbo style is kinda cool in a game with some seriously harsh counter picks and adds to team dynamics.

Yea it completely eliminated me and my ability to change over to my C SUB as a surprise for the Grand finals because i knew after beating Atl_redd he would gameplan for us in the finals expecting to see us again and he did.

You really have to watch how he played in the semis where we won vs the grand finals. Absolute different approach, style, etc by both of them and my C Sub was left on the bench C R Y I N G to get out. I love c sub vs liu kang and lao but Mileena for everyone else.

This rule disallowed me to counter pick the matchup/their strategy and rewarded the victory to the player who could adapt best which yesterday was not us.

Im drenched in Salt and cant wait till my next tournament Sep 24th Impact Clash in Atlanta - it looks to be huge.

I will RUN with C Sub the whole way then and maybe should have here

note that his F3 stuffs most wakeups - really try this on everyone u play till then - also add XXTEEFXX on ps3 and watch his kenshi, ask him for it. He'll show you, it's crazy. Also D3 D3 D3 D3 D3 setup to his blade special close overhead (df 3?)

kenshi rocks but some match-ups just ruin me. i'm willing to stick at 'im as a secondary but kano's been where my heart is since day 1. will probably put kenshi on point and then switch into kano if the match isn't working out for me; i just need a lot more practice with him.

it was really cool to see a Kenshi, also there was a Rain player who mained him throughout....made me jealous i didnt play w rain

There was a killer freddy player there and he was pissed he couldnt use freddy (banned) - he had been practicing nothing but freddy and would have done well w his 62%-70% combos lol. He was forced to play w Scorpion i think.

Yea I would have used C Sub or Rain in a heartbeat for the grand finals if we were allowed to switch - I plan on rolling with C Sub/Rain for Impact Clash 4 in Atlanta Ga Sep 24th at the Atlanta Hilton

There will be a stream im told - I cant wait to get back and play Redd - Argh!!!

LOL, my Rain was(is) ass. It was dropped combos, and 33 into random Geyser Kick instead of RH cancel mixups. Im still gonna play him, but another aggressive character(one that's really underplayed as well) has gained my attention...and im loving their design.

Beer:Im interested in this WNF deal you have in the works if you dont mind myself and PartyEagle attending. Though it would be every other week(3/2 swing swift schedule ftl) that I would be there.

ALso, any gatherings planned for next week?(5th-11th?) Trying to level up as well.

I was great meeting you and PartyEagle. Once we get the details of the stream worked out you guys are always welcome to come. The stream is all about leveling up and getting some match experience.

yea definitely im going to talk w beerguyed and Iceman this week about getting something organized soon. We have a big tourney sep 24th where we're eexpecting 30-40 partcipants in MK9 so we should all level up lol

Yeah. Im hyped for it as well. Im usually working the weekends Revival are held, but this past one and sept 24th I will be off, so myself and hopefully a few others will be able to attend. Been trying to get some more of our little group down here to give the game a chance, but sadly enough the Capcomz haz dem lol. Not to hate on SF and Mahvel(ass games imo....but hey) or anything, its just hard to get most players nowadays to try anything that isnt capcom-made.
