Bought some headphones for my Ipod, how long did yours last?

Yeah, the companies specifically make the earbuds not last very long and break easily so you can go and buy another pair.
Yeah, at first it seemed like a ridiculous conspiracy theory, but if you are a 90's kid, then you know that stuff less technologically advanced still lasted longer. You throw a Super Nintendo down the stairs and it would likely be fine. Now shit breaks just because.

I know we use smaller, and more, components in electronics, but even things as simplistic as AC adapters don't last nearly as long as they used to. And vacuum cleaners, today, suck hard (in a bad way, pun not at all intended).

I go through a pair of apple earbud headphones about every 6 months. Once sweat from running or exercising gets in them, they are toast. The new design is more like a plastic ball that goes in your ear, I'm guessing to protect it from the sweat problem. I'm on my first pair so I don't know how long they'll last yet.

I also have some Bose Quiet Comfort 15's which I mostly use when traveling, very comfortable, very good at canceling outside noise, and they sound real good too.

Yeah I remember those times, the SNES was durable as fuck though. But nowadays the companies know that most of the population wont take care of the products they buy so they make the product last as long as they do so ppl will foolishly buy it again knowingly the cycle will just keep on going. Its just how the corporate america works, b/c money talks.

Eventhough I use my Ipod on a day to day basis I never really liked using their earbuds. I mostly use skullcandy b/c they have good bass, I just need to find the earbuds that retract and pull when you use and are done using them. Plus also my jack in my Ipod is fucked up so that is part of teh problem so Ima get that fixed soon.
