There are many members of TYM seeking to become more experienced in the fighting game scene. If I were to make a guide for people, would there be interest? During my break from the competitive scene, I've noticed several things. Newcomers with no place to begin, members of the community who have the strive to become better without understanding how, and experienced players who lack the knowledge to make the next step. I will not be back into the competitive scene for a long time, but I will be paying attention to everyone (I have not touched Injustice since April 2013, but I know just about every player, their character of choice, etc). I enjoy watching the streams that involve my friends from the FGC, and I want to improve viewer experiences by improving player abilities. More competition will help the community grow incredibly. For the NRS community, the main source of hype (Outside of pools because of upsets) comes from top 8. If the community is able to level-up, more places will allow viewers to enjoy top 16 and top 32 as well.

The anticipation is killing me
I would be very much interested. I always feel with fighting games when I get to a decent level I hit a wall and find it tough to break through it to reach the next level. I'm sure others would feel the same and appreciate your efforts in helping the community.

I see that there is interest, but I will need to know that at least 20 people would be interested. This can help the community greatly and it won't be a one day thing, so much time and effort will be put into this project.

Any ideas on how to make a guide for those of us who literally don't have a scene and have to play strictly online or use practice mode?

Yes. I'll be starting from the ground up, covering just about every topic that. I will cover pros/cons of online play and the pros of using practice mode and all it has to offer, and how to use all of this to your advantage.

Sounds brilliant mate, i never quite know how to fully utilize training mode. I always seem to end up doing swag combos and shit instead

I've noticed that FG communities tend to have some info like the guide you're talking about. General info about FGs, basics of competitive psychology, emphasis and priorities of theory and practice... If TYM lacks something like this, it probably shouldn't. It's doesn't necessarily have to be original content only either - there are a lot of interesting articles on the matter, for example, so adding some links into the mix would be helpful.

It's actually an interesting topic. I can even say that sometimes it's more interesting than game-specific data and discussions as what we are talking here about is often applicable to much wider range of things, not even limited to gaming, for one, or at least not limited to a single game.

I support this idea.

I love the fact that people have the same ideas that I wonder about lol its so badass. I feel that I have great potential in FGs but there are so many things I want/need to learn. I fully support this idea man. I want to level way up, there is no other option

I will get started on this ASAP. I hope to complete it before TFC/NEC so that there is still time for Injustice guys to improve. I don't want this to only affect MKX players because I wish to have NRS/competition represent well as soon as possible, especially with Injustice being main NRS game at the moment
