Do people really want Sonya in? Im fine with a story cameo and all that but really? You would rather have 3 old woman with no powers character slots over returning ninjas with actual powers and a realistic chance of hanging in kombat with gods? Like seriously how boring, weve already seen what happens when old ladies get in kombatants' ways on outworld market place. Old man kano can hang because of cyborg upgrades but out of all the unrealistic things this game gets away with just straight up having an old woman fight people and win would be crossing the line for me

When I was a kid and had the impression that all the ninjas are just cold blooded killers in different colors I would like him back. But, look what NRS did, they killed off only good guys (except shao, sindel, maybe shang too). The guys are unbelievable, noone does that nowadays. So I believe it would be awesome to stay that away. Plus it's obvious they want to bring about big changes and they've shown awesome new chars till now.

as for who Sub Zero is, could be one of their sons they didn't know they had fucking sluts.

They could do that but given the plot I don't see the first one, unless say they come back literally together as a hybrid as you said but who knows. Cyrax and Sektor were both still alive though, so I dont' see them being a hybrid personally.

I think the new Sub-Zero is either possibly one of their sons or a distant relative or cousin honestly. I definitely think whoever it is, is related to Bi-han and Kuai Liang.

She has powers. Did you play story mode? And yeah it would be kool to have a classic female character to be playable at a much older age (She is also the only female character who can actually age).

Brutality Konfirmed (yes).

Sonya and Cage konfirmed, wich almost kompletes the MK1 roster (scorpion, sub-zero, raiden, kano, sonya, cage, liu kang).

Lots of female characters in-bound, hopefuly the KJS trio and Skarlet are one the few of them, Tanya too.

Finger crossed for Fujin, Nightwolf (needs redemption from what they did to him in mk9) and Noob Saibot.


Top row 4 slots will be: Cyrax, Sektor, Cage, Sonya. 4 slots on the top for more 4 returning characters still available.

Kia and Jataaka would be new characters if they be in MKX, due the fact that they never were playable, would basically make a debut, noobde hinted sareena past month.

Hmmm not bad. Needs more SMOKE.

1. The undead eyes tell me that he's well undead. So, yeah Bi-han or Kuai Liang both fit the bill.

2. Boon said in one interview that Raiden, Kano, and SUB-ZERO would all be there in their sort of older forms. So, yeah another point for either of the brothers.

3. He appears to know Scorpion. Both brothers do.

4. The exchange with Raiden where Raiden says "I am their protector, not you!" does not neccessarily mean that Sub-Zero is a protector of Earthrealm, but it does tell us that this Sub-Zero knows how badly Raiden fucked up in MK9. Whoever it is wants to protect Earth or Earthrealm's fighters.

To elaborate on your Sub-Zero argument, it was Bi-Han that (even though he fucked up initially) ultimately plunged into Netherrealm and defeated Quan Chi and Shinnok, retrieving the amulet.

Think about that. A half human/Cryomancer mortal killed a highly skilled ninja, destroyed four elemental GODS, and then went to hell to kill an army of demons, defeating a powerful sorcerer, brotherhood enforcers and ultimately besting the fallen elder god who overthrew LUCIFER HIM-fucking-SELF.

Perhaps the elder gods, realizing that the protector of earth realm (Raiden) fucked up hard, noticed that they have had a potential champion right under their nose the entire time. This is just a theory of course, but I could see Raiden being fired for incompetence haha.

Maybe we have an insecure, rogue "god" on our hands. Maybe Fujin is now the protector of earth, Bi Han being his general. Or whatever, maybe it's just a new Sub-Zero haha. The glowing eyes thing could only imply one of three things; mastery over cryomancy; god (or champion) status; or undead.

She wears military tech, you can see this when she saves Jax from bleeding to death after Ermac ripped off his arms in MK9...

So IF it's one of them I'm guessing and going with Kuai Liang, it could be Bi-Han but given as how he was Sub-Zero, then Noob, then kicked and destroyed in the soulnado then brought back again as human form Sub-Zero seems a bit of a stretch unless the Elder Gods have something to do with it since they can do anything. I just had a thought. I've seen the theory that this Sub-Zero could be the father of Bi-Han and Kuai Liang kicked around a bit, but that doesn't answer the issue about the glowing eyes (but wait)...

What do we even know of the whereabouts of the father Sub-Zero, or if he's even alive? As far as I'm aware, we don't have a clue in the original timeline, let alone the alternate one. If he died, maybe he got resurrected because a Sub-Zero was needed for whatever reason. Maybe Noob Saibot is eternally tainted with no chance of purification. Maybe Kuai Liang can only be resurrected as a cyborg or intangible shade (not able to be a specter because of the lack of rage and evil within him)?

You can scrap that theory and go with this one if you'd like. Their father was a pure blood Cryomancer. We don't exactly know how that race looks without human genetics in the mix. Outworlders have white, sometimes glowing eyes, and cryomancers are, after all, indigenous to Outworld.

I know I'm getting way off topic here, so in conclusion; I doubt this Sub-Zero is Kuai Liang. If it isn't a new Sub-Zero, I'd bet on Bi Han, but Sub-Daddy seems reasonable after putting some thought into it. One thing we can rest assure about is, none of this matters and he will play the same, regardless of if he is Bi Han or Ralph Nader.

You can if you look closely she wears things on her wrists, she even hits a button and aims it when she uses it to stop Jax from bleeding. It also states in one of her bios throughout the series that she uses advanced military tech. But the rest if just standard superhuman MK stuff, as I said like MK characters punching people through walls etc is clearly superhuman i agree, just pointing out Sonya doesn't possess any "magical powers" like say Sub-Zero or Ermac. I'm not even hating just stating facts, I've followed MK since MK 1....I think you're taking my post the wrong way if you think I'm "hating" on her, hardly...

That's one theory though he looks well doesn't look THAT old unless perhaps it's someone younger and the Medallion ages him, remember that happened to Sub-Zero in the original timeline. But yeah we'll see, I am not counting out the idea of Kuai Liang being resurrected and restored to his human body once again since afterall he didnt' want to be automated into machine.

That's a good theory though, others say if it's one of the brothers they have glowing eyes because they're undead and brought back. Who knows lol. I'm sure it'll be explained and cool.

I found Sub-Zero Mythologies' original site from an archive site, it reveals their father died, but there has been a lot more story added on since then.
