Push Block in MKX?

With Injustice being mostly about Vortexs & 50/50s Pushblock was a necessity.

With MK9 hmmm....not so much.

.... they mostly come at night. Mostly.
push block is cool stuff as defensive gameplay mechanic, but seems not as a huge mandatory necessity in MKX, like seems to be so far (based in all gameplay video demonstrated until now) ..... we can live without that for MKX

We have no idea how MKX will play, so no one can really say if it is needed or not.

At the very least, I wouldn't mind them making Breakers more like Bursts, and let you use them in more situations.
Let you use a breaker well in blockstun. Would still costs 2 bars, and maybe not really be worth it in 90% of situations, but eh.

I would be completely fine with it. Just off the top of my head the worst that would happen (like pushblocking into ice clone for example) is a sort of timer scam at the end of a round. I feel it would especially useful if normals do great chip damage (which they shouldn't)

People using the argument "MK9 relied on pressure and chip, so no", need to stop. Boon has already said that they are not intending it to be like MK9. It may be, but we don't know for sure.
We may guess on the basis that there's Sub's ability to reduce chip, apparently. Unless NRS weren't designing that around it being useful, we can assume that chip isn't negligible in MKX. At least at one point it could be correct, we'll see what the game will be like ofc.

I don't think mk9 focusing on pressure was a exclusive mk9 thing its more of a side effect of using a block button design imo. You lose mixup options to open someone up for damage with a block button system so to balance that out (designers) put the emphasize on block strings doing damage and building meter forcing an opponent to open himself up when trying to escape the pressure. Now I know nobody wants MKX to have anything from MK9 because it was such a bad game but I think its safe to assume atm that MKX will probably focus on pressure type of style similar to mk9 because we know it uses a block button system unless they make alot of un reactable high/low hit level 50/50 mixups.

pushblock isnt even that great tbh lol (it barely pushes the opponent back), breakers work better IMO and u get them more than once (unlike a clash) #YEEEAAAPPPP in or not, I am still hella playing mkx!!!
