Very cool good to hear they're making their ways to the small scenes too. This tourney just got more hype.

Hey STORMS! This is a one day local tournament, and so the stream will only be on Sunday, the 18th. Bacardi said that he wants to run MK first, so it should be on at around 3:00 p.m.

MK will be on at 3pm as it will be the first tournament to be run, followed by AE & MvC3

On a sidenote I was under the impression that freddy was patched as well but since that is the case Blue he will be banned then in conjunction with the dlc costumers

Thanks! I just want the tournament to go well. The patch isn't out quite yet. It'd be awesome if you'd update the first posts, just so that nobody misses the rules. Cheers, Bacardi.

Offline tournaments are awesome. Majors are even better. You'll have fun.


blueNINE: There's nothing wrong with Sub's MK3 costume right? I see Brady use it all the time.

Its cyrax's mk3 and noob's mk2 alternates that had glitches. The bomb loop with Curacao and noobs breaker caused damage.

I actually don't know, but if Tom Brady has been using it, there probably isn't.

i'm playing all sub-zero and maxter will bite the bullet and use all cyrax despite being limited to only 70% w/1 bar.

CD Jr takes it. A lot of character experimentation in this tourney, with CD Jr using Rain, Sheeva (in Winners Finals), and Jax (Grand Finals); Maxter using Noob, and REO using Sektor (and Human Sektor!)

Results:
1. CD Jr. (Jax/Sheeva/Rain)
2. Maxter (Noob/Sub-Zero/Cyrax)
3. REO (Sektor/Human-Sektor)
4. MC Peanuts (i think, playing as MC Seagull) (Liu Kang)
5. EMP Tom Brady (Sub Zero).

I think I might be able to explain some of the character experimentation. REO has been using a hitbox exclusively lately, but he didn't have what he needed to hook it up to an XBOX, and they streamed the tournament on the XBOX. Since playing on the PS3 wasn't an option, REO just picked up an XBOX controller and starter messing around with Sektor. I don't think he was too happy about that. The crazy thing is he was able to play quite well anyway, though not to his usual level. I had the misfortune of playing his Kung Lao earlier on the PS3 and just got destroyed. Would have been great to see CD Jr's Rain against REO's Kung Lao. Too bad they didn't stay for casuals.

Anyway, I had so much fun playing Maxter in casuals. The guy gets hardly any sleep and still plays at the highest level. Props to Peanuts for 4th and CD Jr. for doing his thing.

Where to begin...

Bacardi/Gaming Etc. - Thanks for doing a great job hosting this, despite the 360 PS3 mix up. Plan on coming again (as long as my you guys get my name right this time lol it's not CptExecutioner) that driving me nuts watching the archive lol.

McPeanuts - HUGE props for picking me up on your way down I owe you huge. And NO thanks on knocking me out of the tournament.

CDjr - Congrats on winning (once again) it was a pleasure meeting you and like I said before, huge fan. Wish our winners semi match could have been more competitive, nerves got to me.

The VSM guys - thanks for showin up at even the small local scenes, hopefully this helps us out in the future. Brady always a class act and hilarious blowin up the stream whenever he can.

Everyone I played in casuals and matches - GGS, enjoyed playing against everyone and definitely helped me improve my game and look forward to doing it again soon.

All and all, I had a great time Tied for 5th with Tom Brady, not bad and look forward to the next one I'm definitely going to try and make it out to the next one.

Sorry that I could really only stop by for about an hour. Seemed like a hype tournament. Good to see everyone, especially the VSM crew! I hope you guys will continue to make it to New England tournaments.
