I know you're joking but this is an interesting conversation so I'll explain:
A) To be clear, when I say "they're not really slept on" I mean that in the best way possible, and as a huge compliment. In other words, they are really good, their results show it, and are recognized accordingly.
B) "Being slept on" almost implies that they're underrated, which I disagree with. Case in point, does anyone really see DJT or MIT in his pool and feel good about it? Be it Injustice or MK, 95% of the players are going to get bodied coming up against these two.
I agree that they don't garner as much discussion as other players, but I personally see that as different from being slept on. When people don't talk about them a lot, it's not because they don't have the result to warrant the talk, but it's because Denzell in particular is not that active here and doesn't engage in shit talk (at least post-Brady Sub Zero wars), minds his own business, and does his thing. Meaning that in a way, there's not much to talk about when it comes to him: He's quiet, he shows up, he does his thing. MIT wasn't doing great in the first year of Injustice so that affected things, though I think the fact that many kept mentioning that he's not doing well is actually a compliment as it shows the high expectations we have for him after what he'd done in MK. I also think the fact that they can't travel to as many tournaments as other top players means they aren't discussed as much since we tend to talk about what happened at the most recent tournaments, and if they're not there, there's not much to talk about with regards to them.
A lot of the talk and hype surrounding some players is not based on results but also on personalities and rivalries. For example, Denzell's results in Injustice are better than Perfect Legend's. Yet who do people talk about more? Is it because we think PL is better at this game (we don't) or because of...training wheels?
I randomly want to point out that MIT is one of my favorite posters here.
Terry brothers are amazing and the fact that one is virtually guaranteed top 8 in every tournament, and both making top 8 at the same time is always a serious possibility says it all. I don't think there's a single person on this website who would disagree with how good they are, hence my disagreement about them being slept on. I guess you could say they're "underdiscussed" (that's not a word, I know), but I have a solution to that:
@
Denzell makes a thread calling out all Green Lantern players including @
GGA Wafflez to generate hype, and @
MITDJT (I'll never get that tag right on the first try) ditches his new leaf persona and goes back to cocky MIT. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaap
