MKX roster screen

Did anyone else notice this? Looks like returning chars will get the top row of the roster and new chars will get the bottom row. If this is right then 12 new, 12 OG I would be cool with that number. This could just be NRS trolling us and making it seem this way but looks 12 and 12 to me.

In MK9 you had to play the story mode in order to unlock Quan Chi & Cyber Sub-Zero.

Yes.. NRS likes rewarding us with secrets....

I hope they do that and just put in an "exhibition" mode like DOA5 did so that those that don't want to unlock them don't have to worry about it. Also so T.O.'s don't get screwed over...

Someone should find a screenshot of the original character select screen and see if Kano or Raiden's silhouettes can be found on them based off what they look like now that they're revealed and showed on the character select screen.

...and intentionally prevented Scorpion's fatality to be fully shown outside of when they OK'd it to infer that they only show what they want when they're good and ready...


....and yet we're still basing anything off a character reveal's select screen that is obviously one they're well aware of?

If this select screen has any validity in terms of top being classic and bottom being new....

Basically there's 8 classic characters left to be revealed?

With Johnny & Sonya "basically" confirmed (due to constant interviews/tweets about family members interacting with each other), that leaves 6 returning characters.

Here's my wish list.
— At least 2 returning ninjas: Ermac and Reptile (probably 2 of the most requested; save Noob/Rain/Smoke/Chameleon(?) as possible DLC)
— At least 1 returning female: Kitana seems to be the number one choice to return (based off retweets of Ed Boon, but who knows).
I'd like to see Mileena, Skarlet, Tanya or Jade over the Blue Edenian.
— And the remaining character(s) to be from MK4 universe: hopefully Shinnok or Fujin.
There seems to be a lot of debate on who this will be. Some point to others like Reiko, or Quan Chi, or even Kai.

What do you all think?

Nrs fans a literally the battered wives the industry. It's almost like full on Stockholm syndrome by now.

"This time will be different, I just know if will! We just have to show them we care even harder!"

You know they said they like around 30 characters, but we getting three variations of each character... Which is according to this chart is 24 character templates with 72 different variations (24 characters 3 variations each).
It will be interesting to see how many dlc they make. Also I hope dlc have a longer development cycle because if not... bad things will happen. I mean if they make two dlc characters they technically made 6 characters (characters that borrow assets from one another, but still). That is a lot to manage either way.

Also on topic I bet the roster screen is smoke and mirrors it is just trying to fool us with false hints.
