PC Streaming Advice

I'm a PC player and am interested in streaming my matches, and was hoping I might get some tips and advice from anyone experienced with PC streaming.

I'm in the process of upgrading my computer, but at the moment my specs are:

• Vista 64bit (upgrading to 8.1 pro in a month or 2)
• Intel i3-3220 dual core (3.30ghz) (upgrading to i7-3770k quad core in a month or 2)
• Samsung 840 Pro 256g SSD
• ASRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard
• 16g Ripjaw X DDR3 1866 ram
• AMD Radeon HD 7700 series graphics card

I wasn't sure how bad the older processor and graphics card would hurt me, but hopefully these specs are decent enough for a smooth hi-def stream. Any advice on how to maximize the quality of my stream would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Mostly USFIV, but hoping to start putting in some MK9 time as well.

The quality depends on the bit rate you choose on the streaming program, whichI highly suggest to use OBS.

Ok, so nothing terribly demanding on your CPU then once you get that i5. Just need to know your upload so we can figure out a bitrate you can be streaming at that won't lag you too badly in-game.

My upload should be 42.58mbs.

With that upload you should be able to do the highest bit rate option, my upload is only 4-6mb and I was getting pretty decent quality when I streamed

I can't bothered posting a thread so I'll just ask here, I'm also trying to stream but I'm streaming through my laptop webcam to stream my Xbox but the video is all choopy/laggy/whatever you want to call it. Any idea how to deal with it?

Stop being a peasant and trying to stream with a laptop webcam. There is nothing you can possibly do to make that look any better than terrible.
