What if Hydro is this Sub-Zero, according to the Lore he can freeze his opponents as well, he sounds cool.

Then don't get hung up on the ninja design. The power and move set is what's important. And they stopped using palette swaps when they switched to 3D so that excuse is pretty weak imo.

Khrome is the exact same scenario. So are Tremor, Cyber Reptile, Zebron and Forx. So are the inevitable suggestions for characters involving plants, gravity, playing cards, and bacon. Stupid characters who are about as interesting as a stubbed toe whose only reason for existing is a single move idea or concept. It's the kind of juvenile character direction that made games like Bloodstorm and Fight Fever super stars in the 90s. Oh wait.

Actually scratch that, keep beating the dumb character drums. I'm getting started on a real campaign for Forx. I'm leaning towards Forx the son of Baraka and Mileena who grows fork-like sais out of his arms (AND LEGS) or 4X the Cyber Tarkatan ninja Lin Kuei experiment who drops bombs that explode forklike sais in different directions. Who here can do some concept art?

Noone's gonna do concept art, go look for it yourself like I did. Imagine T1000 or T1001 Terminator as a ninja. Liquid metal has not been done in MK, his variations will be diverse. Only closed minded people don't see the whole picture, they only see what they want to see.

In the old Malibu comics I think Scorpion kills Hydro before the tournament even starts, so if Raiden sends a message to himself at the tournament's starting point, Hydro is already dead.

Just making a thing a "ninja" doesn't make it cool or a good idea. And just saying put T1000 in a fighting game doesn't make it a good idea either. KI has a liquid metal guy. SF has a stretchy guy. Injustice has MMH. None of them are particularly cool concepts cause its not 1992 anymore. Meanwhile, MK already has a million people with "knives and stabbing weapons" that don't sacrifice their hands and feet in the process. Baraka has extendo blades. Freddy had cool tele floor claws. Sub Zero has a whole array of on the fly ice weapons and rain's got "sharp water" (wtf that is). Kenshi has a living dancing brain powered sword and Noob already melts into and out of walls and floors.

The whole picture is that Khrome is basically this guy in a white dogi.
