Great games this afternoon @RedRaptor10.

I really liked how each match had a different dynamic; some were incredible fast paced with life bars being depleted in seconds and others were very methodical with lots of patience, baiting, whiff punishing and footsies.

If anyone needs Deathstroke match-up experience, this is the guy you want to play. He has excellent character knowledge and perfect execution.

Thanks again for the great set. :)

hey thanks lol but i'm not that great, and idk squat about match-ups in this game. my execution wasn't perfect either...i think the lag made me drop a few combos here and there.

i did like our matches too, some of them were really close and down to the wire. i sent you a message on PSN about yours and Blake's Batmans. Both of your Batmans are the best I've played and you guys have kinda different playstyles. I think @AK/RM GamerBlake is more defensive, while you're more offensive. I think both of you could borrow stuff from each other. IMO what I think both of you should do is to use bats at the start of match and go for a throw to get that guaranteed 1st bar of meter, but that could just be preference on how you want to play.

Honestly, (from my perspective) your playing was very solid.

In the past, you mentioned that you weren't too familiar with match-ups and asked my opinion if you we improving as a player; I have and will continue to say.....YES!

You're an excellent player and should give yourself more credit man; perhaps you're playing match-ups on the fly (without knowing the ins and outs) but your character knowledge (of Deathstroke), fundamentals and execution allows you to excel.

I usually don't have many issues with Deathstroke but I really had to modify my game plan and adapt to certain situations presented in our set; you were doings things I haven't seen many Deathstrokes (I've encountered online) pull off. There were probably a few dropped combos here and there (on my part as well) but your use of guns in footsies, excellent spacing to D2 AA just outside or range and F3 crossup set-ups were on point.

Activating bats at the start of the match are kind of a double edged sword; they will either reward you with the initial first hit meter bonus / combo or you can lose all 3 and have to wait for one to charge up.

I always like starting a match the safe route by using air scatter bombs (first hit / the opportunity to activate bats safely) or backing up and activate my bats at a safe range. This gives me peace of mind that if scatter bombs fail at least my trait is intact or that my trait will (possible) benefit me in the neutral game.

He's a really versatile character and there is no right or wrong way to play him, just different (as you mentioned).

thanks krys. yea i see your point on the bats lol. scatter bomb is really good at the start, i'm not even sure if i can punish it on block. at first i thought i could sword flip or gunshot, then i just started to backdash. I'm looking forward to playing you more, I need that batman exp.

Excellent games tonight @Compbros.

That was probably the longest set I ever played and each match was AWESOME!

Great spacing, great execution and your set-ups / midgames were on point; I have an idea what to do in the neutral game but pretty much guessing on the dive-bomb set-ups (not sure which way to block!).

It's been a while since I played someone who mains Superman; I don't come across many these days and the change was refreshing.

Looking forward to more games!

Yeah those set was amazing, the set clocks in at about 3 hours, 6 minutes. I'm looking at the footage/uploading now, some of those matches were intense.

I wasn't even aware you were recording the set!

Some of those matches were REALLY GOOD and being able to view them once again is going to be awesome!

The connection was also quite fast; there were only a couple of times were I completely froze but for the most part, it was on-point.

GGs @EMPEROR_THEO you are the best at punishing dash ins, really helped me in my spacing. As always that Aquaman is absolutely killer.

@InFlames is the best at punishing dashes that I've played. I've never had to deal with that before.
It was like playing a different game once he started doing that lol
I felt the exact same way with theo.I tried to copy him and punish his dashes but it kept biting me in the ass and I would get d1 trident rushed before I could react. I was like this man is a robot lol.

Unused thread? I guess I'll kick start it off then so we can put it to use!

Great games Mike_Mk (someone tell me how to tag a user!) in that FT20. Great adjustments we both made throughout the set. It was a nail biter all the way to the end. I feel like I learned some interesting things against your Frost.

We'll def do it again soon.
