Why no Tag Team tournaments?

Hi not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I wondered why no tournaments are tag team.
To me I think Tag Team is the most exciting to watch with expert players, and they can really show their skills.
The 1 on 1 seems so 1 dimensional to me.
Is it strictly a time crunch thing? Then couldn't they only allow half the normal players to save time?
To me it would be a blast to watch combos switching back and forth between characters.

Its too many infinintes. Like Johnny Cage n scorpion. After any block string, cage can do the unlockable support to add damage and and free Fully charged b2

What El1te said, way too many infinites, can't ban anything because there's so many variants, unless you wanna go a smash approach and take away like, half the content lol.

Because there is a ton of 100% combos and unblockable resets.

Well the execution of these combos is pretty godlike imao, I think it would be amusing to have players play to see which would be the first to pull off the combos without dropping them

I think doing tag tournaments with two people playing against two others would be far more interesting and fair. Much more difficult to pull off those 100% and unblockable reset combos.

2 v. 2 tag should always be the default, in cases like this. I've only played online, but playing another pair is so much more fun than playing one other player. I would love to see these great players go nuts on tag mode. Play for beers or pizza or something. Have some fun with the game!
