I dunno about all that, but I'm not a social climber. I don't get a job and 5 mins later go "OK. Now I need a job with more money or more benefits." I also volunteer at a place that helps people find work. I look around me and I see a lot of people that can't pay their bills or don't have an apartment even to live in. So with my little part time job I am off the government dollar and making my own way in the world. I see a lot of people that can't even say that.Good Lord it really is just rainbows and Unicorns up there in Canada, isn't it?
That's commendable. I was a ref for a year once in a little kid league... Never again. Although I do like some of the cat calls. One time a guy pointed at me and yelled "If you had one more eye, you'd be a cyclops!"Basketball referee, want to be a lawyer.
OH! You're a fellow baker ? Did my doughnut picture make your evening ?Only the last link is working for me. Probably a privacy thing.
But even from just seeing the last link, it was a mistake. Seeing a picture of gorgeous donuts is not a good idea while fasting :S
Oh I'm not. I wish I wasOH! You're a fellow baker ? Did my doughnut picture make your evening ?
Ah I definitely know what you mean. We have a proverb in Arabic that translates into "Contentment is a bottomless treasure."I dunno about all that, but I'm not a social climber. I don't get a job and 5 mins later go "OK. Now I need a job with more money or more benefits." I also volunteer at a place that helps people find work. I think this song explains it best...
Lol thats a good one. That's commendable. I was a ref for a year once in a little kid league... Never again. Although I do like some of the cat calls. One time a guy pointed at me and yelled "If you had one more eye, you'd be a cyclops!"
There's also schizophrenics and manic depressed people there too, conversations between these groups of people is better than reading m2dave arguing with PL & Tom Brady all at once.Props to you for your real job, dude. It's not something everyone can do due to lacking patience, sympathy, etc.
While it's probably horrific for either of us to find that humorous, I can't help but find it funny. >_>There's also schizophrenics and manic depressed people there too, conversations between these groups of people is better than reading m2dave arguing with PL & Tom Brady all at once.
Today I saw an 80+ year old head butt his way through a fire door.
Well... Here's a focaccia pizza too then!Oh I'm not. I wish I was
I'd love to be able to cook or bake stuff like that.
It's just that when I saw that picture of those amazing doughnuts I was fasting and I hadn't eaten anything for 12 or 13 hours. So you can imagine how I felt when I saw it!
My advice is to not seek a career in chemistry. The job market for chemist tanked in 2008 and has not recovered. I was a synthetic chemist but due to the job market have been forced to reinvent myself as an analytical chemist.Current job: couch potato, living off whatever I win at FG tournaments and parents lmao. But I go to Uni as a chem major?
Dream job: doctor prob.
My advise is to check around and make sure that's the case. Here, I know far too many engineers who are _not_ making big bucks and are just happy to have a job.only 20 so not sure but engineering is dolla dolla
bruh, is all about the java lifeData analyst. Currently looking for a new place to work. So I guess my current job is Couch Potato/Dark Souls-er.
I graduated with a Political Science degree, with a focus on social statistics. I've mainly worked for places that have me using SPSS, SAS, and R.
I'm also a self-taught programmer, but I've never formally worked at a place that had me doing any serious programming outside my usual statistical packages. I can fluently write Perl, Python, Ruby, C++, Lua, PHP, Javascript, and SQL
On that note, I refuse to program in Java, and wouldn't take a job if I had to use it. It's such a goddam awful programming language. I really, really, really hate it.
Data analyst IS my dream job. I love doing this.
The only thing that could make it better is if my field wasn't 90% guys... I really miss not being around as many gals in college. I find them easier to talk to, and all the guys at my last job never talked about anything but video games...ughhh..
