If I were building a team I'd probably get 2-4 acclaimed tournament players and then go through the forums and handpick tech/labmonsters like doombawkz for the rest of the slots...especially the people who have written character specific guides. I know that a ton of tournament placers spend a lot of time finding tech as well as competing, but finding tech and using it are very different disciplines. I feel like the labmonsters are really unfairly snubbed when it comes to the balancing phase.

Wait, do I want to pick these members to TEST the game or MAKE IT? Because with all due respect to everyone here, there's little chance of "making a successful game" (as the thread title says) with 10 members of TYM. People here are mostly good at playing games, not making them.

Anyway, if it's testing I'd go with Slips, Dizzy, 16 Bit, REO, Brady, J360, Tony-T, ECT McFly, Mayo and Chef. Though nobody would ever get anything done because Chef and 16 Bit are arguing over something...probably Catwoman.

You absolutely need CrimsonShadow for marketing and being a community manager, and I wouldn't pick MKF30 for anything.
