How many setup swag characters should be in the game?

Kotal Kahn seems a bit of that with mid-Combo buffs, sunbeams and health recovery tactics.

Raidens storm Lord definitely goes into that direction with the lightning orbs

Sub Zero obviously has the ice clone

dvorah has a little option too with the slow insect projectile

cassie Cage has air strike


will it get less exciting if many characters have this kind of stuff? will setups be a style many characters have and is that a good thing?

I have a feeling most characters will have some sort of variation that will cater to that style. If Cyrax ends up in this game, you'd have to have one style akin to that.

In anime games line blazblue, several characters have some sort of set up mechanic. It's possible to have all sorts of things place on screen and still be completely different.
