Mortal
Red Dead Redemption, Arkham City, God of War (2&3 especially) and Bioshock just to name a few.
Totally agree with The Last of UsFFVI and FFVII are both great for different reasons. For many, FFVI is just better and more nostalgic because of the humor, emotions and all the charismatic characters and music. That said there's no denying that FFVII had a bigger impact and was just the most popular/successful FF. But the death of Aerith is so overrated. It's kind of hilarious to even consider it a tragedy or one of the greatest/saddest video game moments in history... I mean it would've been a tragedy if Tifa died instead but LBSH no one gave a shit about Aerith lol. The player didn't even get to know her that well so you were not emotionally attached to the character.
Speaking of cheap cheesy deaths, The Last of Us has to be one of the most overrated games ever. What a sad excuse for a game, it should've been a movie. Literally, it was supposed to be a movie but they got turned down so they turned their story into a cheesy overlinear game with pathetic puzzles lol.
Skyrim was pretty lackluster for me. They did some great things in it (namely the Dragons) and it looks fantastic, but the overall atmosphere has gotten progressively less interesting from Morrowind to Skyrim. Fallout 3 is pretty dark and confining, much like Morrowind, and I think that's why it's more appealing than Oblivion or Skyrim, too. (Probably the reason I did the Dark Brotherhood stuff first in both games, too.)In my opinion (don't kill me) Oblivion > Skyrim.
To each their own in regards to FF7. =P I can see why people view it as being overrated. I don't hype it up like all the other FF7 fanatics out there. It's just my personal favorite, is all. The hype behind FF6 is completely justified in my eyes, however. It was quite the achievement.Skyrim was pretty lackluster for me.
