Question How to deal with Green Lantern & Bane?

There are many hard match-ups for me to deal with.
I'm playing ZOD for the last few weeks, and the hardest matches for me is to deal with Green Lantern and Bane.
Every time I'm playing this match-ups I'm trying to learn how to deal with them. But I fail everytime.

Green Lantern: His zonning is too strong for me to deal with. And everytime I have trait, he just goes with the BF3 move and punishing me, or just doing MB B3.

Bane: His armor is a pain in the ass. You can't zone out bane, you just can't and it's very hard to.
I fail almost everytime when I'm trying to punish his charge.

So, ZOD players - any tips and advice? How to deal with those characters?

Thank you guys.

Im not no zod player but try IAB. Those fat blue things? Do those instant air and if you got trait be just a little patient. Let him use MB B3. Then setup your stuff

I'm doing instant ZOD balls and instant air charge, but Green Lantern MB BF1 is too strong.
I've played some online casulas against KingJamez's Green Lantern, learned a few things but still, very hard.

What about bane, and what is IAB?

This reminds me of that thread of a Zatanna player asking how to deal with GL.
You should just try to zone him out and use MB AZB to get out your trait more easily, btw IAZB means Instant Air Zod Ball (that projectile he has in the air)
I'm doing that alot, but he can just shot out his missle with MB and stop me everytime.

The MB missile doesn't have that big of an air hitbox, you should try to just jump to max height and MB AZB then just pull out trait ans fro there you have many options. BTW GL shouldn't be zoning you out it should be the other way around

If you believe enough, -7 could be +7
GL should not be laming you out. It should be the other way around.
Your mobilty is far better than GL's. Make him come to you. This should be an easy match up for you.

Zone at full screen and when trait is up either go for 50/50 or free interactable.
But the problem is that he MB b3 everytime, or just going for the BF3 and into a combo.
Thank you for the tips guys, but what about Bane?

What about bane?
Standard zoning strategies apply unless Bane is on level 3 venom.

Put a grounded or aerial slow ball on the screen and react to the Bane player's movements. If he jumps forward, AA with side arm or trip guard with far low laser. If he dashes or walks forward, keep putting slow balls on the screen. When he comes too close, push him back with MB low laser. If you at any time you see an MB charge, you can react and do MB b+3. If not, the second slow ball should hit him out of the charge. Always pay attention to the Bane player's trait. If he is on level 3 venom, stop and do nothing.

Being on the ground means you have to guess. The guessing game usually involves the following.

- Back dash avoids everything but the command throw (unless the command throw is timed very late in which case you leave yourself open to other mix ups).
- Jumping back avoids command throw but loses to everything else.
- MB b+3 beats (non-level 3 venom) command throw and (non-level 3 venom) overhead punch but obviously loses to anything that is multiple hitting such as b+2 xx overhead punch.
- Parry nullifies uppercut and overhead punch but loses to command throw and b+2.
- Blocking low and back dashing blocks b+2 (and d+1) and back dashes out of ticked command throw and also blocks overhead punch but loses to raw command throw and overhead punch.

Avoid mashing wake up attacks and trying to jump out near stage transitions, especially when Bane is on level 3.

If MB B3 is beating you then this means you're probably trying to do trait pressure by first dashing in unprotected and using f2.

The best way to remove their ability to mb b3 you when you dash in for 50/50 pressure is dash (while in dash animation) swipe while moving in to cover the dash and instantly do 124 or 11d2 or b12 or 3 palm

The #1 way to get MB B3 everytime by your opponent is to not cover your dash w a swipe or always using f213 or f2 version of some sort

GL in no form or fashion out zones ZOD. You can sit for weeks and days ducking rocket, a whiff rocket = free trait

rocket and MB on your body so it grants GL plus frames in no way allows him a free TURBINE in, no, this is a gimmick. Record gl doing this and you'll find that you can Side arm mb him after blocking the rocket mb, recover then let him turbine in thinking he is now in and you can side arm mb which on hit grants a free dash in d12 palm on block, a mb laser grounded on block , ground zod ball into mb laser mb blocked, dash in throw check, backdash, jump back zod ball in air followed by a charge laser to hold him in place all this buys time for you to call trait out and do mix ups or chip.

After b13 mini gun GL can NOT lift, jump, d2, d3, b3 mb, b12, b13, rocket, or anything but walk back and jump over because after b13 mini gun a just frame f213 will stop all these options and ZODs next best option is palm but it can be mb b3'd

You should never be trying tp play footsies at all w gl, and w a life lead or even match you should be be frustrating him w your trait full screen away and zoning, chipping, and using the ed of trait to generate a slew of zod balls on screen which do chip, build meter for mb laser all in which this buys you time to repeat the same frustrating process of getting in. Remember slow zod ball or med zod ball half screen or further blocked into mb laser is a true block string. So two blocked balls into mb laser into slow ball into side arm all keeping him perfectly still is essentially enough to generate another trait.

BANE:
Dealing w oki:
Generally blocking low (d1, b2, b1) and backdashing every follow up except cg is the way to go. After blocked OH, b23 or venom you can rest assured most will do 1, OH punch, up venom or something like this and a parry will teach them tey have to respect you in the neutral game more. If you start then doing b2 in these situations then you have to show them you're willing to just NJ after those attacks are blocked because a NJ 1/2/3 will beat out b2,b1,d1 low options they will start using because they fear your parry

Other wake up options are wake up parry, wake up backdash (not very good in mu though), and NJ if you expect a CG

Bakdashing is huge to buy time and call trait, slow balls frustrate bane players and cause them to jump , bane has one of the worst jump arcs in the game thats free to trip guard w laser mb all day into side arm shot, slow ball and then try to repeat the process all buying time for trait.

Jump back whiffing 2 in the air and then after whiffing it doing a mb zod ball fast or zc will make the bane player react, he will see you jump back whiffing a 2 and dash in and usually after you do this you can cancel a whiff jump back 2 into a zc to reverse screen positioning or a mb zod ball fast to hit him dash up and juggle him in a combo.

When dashing back if you see him hella dashing forward to you chances are he will eventually do a CG, oh, or up venom while chasing you throw out a mb b3 while dashing back to eliminate this and slow the bane down.

Be able to parry in between up venom mb two hits or delayed (hold the mb b3) in between two hits.

GL loses to zod 3-7
bane is 5-5 or 6-4 zod favor but it can seem unwinnable sometimes. Remember even the best ZOD players start out rounds vs Banes and will lose a whole health bar but even then you can still easily win.

@Iamthejewish

My final advice is dont listen to one word breakin wordz says about anything as he is one of the most clueless people in the forums.

Well, you're clearly have a lot of knowledge about this MU's, thank you for sharing!
Although I still have some questions to you about things I didn't understand from what you said.

1. What is NJ means?
2. What do you mean by swipe? D3? And yes, it happens to me that players don't respect my trait when I'm close, so they just MB B3 or mashing reversals/d1, etc. And like you said, I'm dashing in and trying to go for a mixups, but I didn't understand what you mean by swipe, what am I suppose to do when I'm close to my oponnent?
3. I've played against RelaxedState zod and I learned a lot, I would be glad to play against you, and as well against m2Dave.

Thank you all for your help!

1.Neutral jump (UP) and while in air press either 1,2 or 3

2. When trait is out press (4) and this uses a mid hitting swipe w your trait

3. Would love to, I'm home tomorrow from the beach

Get your guns on. Sheriff is back.
I'd say ask @Doombawkz for all the Bane weaknesses in any matchup to exploit. He's like the wiki on the character. If someone has an option vs anything of Bane's ...he'll know.

Trust me, I'm a doctor
Nah, pig and Dave pretty much sunk it in one shot, barring one thing being jump back being amazing at avoiding everything.

However no one actually uses my tech so it doesn't matter lol
