Meter burn button is fubar

Right, so I bought MK9 for Steam since I got it so damn cheap (with Injustice) although I already have both for Xbox. Injustice works fine (except for some ridicilous issues with the online servers, but thats something else entirely). I use a standrad xbox pad for computer as well, so RT is my meter burn button, as per default. So pressing it causes me to block, but it just absolutely refuses to burn meter. I got a little sick of this after a while so I decided to go back to Xbox. I load up the game, haven't really played it here in a really long time, so first I get asked to download an update.

And now the friggin meter burn button isnt working here EITHER!?! What in the seven hells is going on!? What did they do? What did I miss? Something is aloof, to put it mildly. Enlighten me guys, cuz I'm a question mark here. And I would really like to know what's going on.

Maybe you're working it like it works in Injustice?
In MK9, you have to hit the special move attack button (Ex. Jade's DF4) and RT at the same time, unlike Injustice where most special moves you can wait before MB'ing.

Actually you need to press the trigger before the face button. For example Back Forward RT 2.

Actually, you are both right. I took what you said and applied it. The timing is way, way stricter than in Injustice. I dont know, but playing Injustice every day for a year must have made me really sloppy. This was actually extremely unpleasant and I'm going to have to get used to it again. But at least I found the problem, so thanks a lot!

It actually took me a while to get readjusted to how enhanced specials work in MK9, I'm glad MKX is using both models.
