woah guys, thanks
Are you saying there are better Cyrax's out there, that no one has seen yet?Ok.
After playing and watching several good cyrax's, Mustard has the best cyrax currently viewable on youtube, in the world.
Some of us have that "show me the money" mentality. But yeah, Sir Mustard is a beast. You yourself have an amazing Johnny Cage, I actually thought you were BS'ing when you said you didn't main Lao. Awesome stuff man.And nobody wanted to believe me before?
No offense to the US, but compare the competition at SVB to the competition at EVO. It definitely isnt a mute point for winning SVB. You cant just automatically assume that the US is better than Europe because the NUMBER of competitions you have is greaterUsedForGlue, your logic fails because for example, Slips was never recorded prior to Evo and no one knew he had the best scorpion. Guess how he trained? With his local scene. So for all the local scenes out there, how many actually get streamed?
Another example, Aris only has one training partner in CA, and his partner doesn't really play that much MK, and Aris himself doesn't play online, but with enough dedication and practice with one player, someone can be really good. He goes to local tournys and that's is his only exposure to different characters. So how do you know that a Cyrax player from Wyoming or Nebraska hasn't done any new tech you haven't seen yet and he's waiting to get some money in order to travel?
A year from now, Mustard might not be the best Cyrax player, and whichever Cyrax player becomes the best might only be streamed for the first time next year, it doesn't mean he hasn't been playing the game since day one.
And so to reiterate, he is the best Cyrax player seen so far. And winning a major in Europe is a mute point when trying to relate his success in terms of player here, because it all depends on the competition. He's the best Cyrax player in Europe because he won the major there, but until he wins FinalRound, Evo, Devastation, etc.....it's a mute point.
It's not the number of competitions. It's the number of competitors. Statistically speaking because there is way more competitors, there is way more competition, and inevitably more skillful players. No offense to the US, but compare the competition at SVB to the competition at EVO. It definitely isnt a mute point for winning SVB. You cant just automatically assume that the US is better than Europe because the NUMBER of competitions you have is greater
no one in this thread, sure, but ill assume you didnt see a few threads leading up to svb, we were LITERALLY told 'you're from europe, nothing happens over there so you dont know what you're talking about' we don't have a problem, just keep in mind every bad word that was said about european player or just people outside of the us in general has been said on this site alonewow...no one here has said you guys aren't good or that you don't stack up against US players. Some of you guys have like a massive inferiority complex or something, during the svb stream the thing i heard the most is how US players aren't the only ones who play mk and how euro players are good too. We know you guys are good and we respect your skill. People went crazy when they saw you and your brother play in the finals a couple months ago, so now i say to you don't give me that BS, it's you guys who have the problem. At least i speak for myself, i respect you, your brother and that glue guy as well.
That being said, the number of competitive players in the US far exceeds those in Europe. US has tourneys almost every week and there's more fighting scenes than anywhere else.
And im not even addressing the maxter comment, that's just crazy talk right there.
go to the sektor forums with that opinion.ketchup, sektroll > you
thanks man, id reccomend ALWAYS going for medium bombs at first, and once they begin to roll back from them, start throwing far bombs, if they roll into it it gives them very little time to escape it, and nets prevent them from jumping away from them, so they can only dashGreat stuff from across the pond. Major respect to you and your red half. that bomb pressure is really something I've been working on. is it almost universally a good idea to end combos /w a close/med bomb?
it's simply my opinion, mustard has already explained the views we all have and what sort of comments provoke it.wow...no one here has said you guys aren't good or that you don't stack up against US players. ^This. Are you saying there are better Cyrax's out there, that no one has seen yet?
Because if that is the consensus, that thought pattern defeats itself, I can sit here and say ''My Kung Lao is better than PL's Kung Lao, because no one has seen mine yet'', players can not go to tournaments and say ''He isn't the best because he has not played me yet'', its doesn't work like that.
If he is the best Cyrax player we have seen, then he is the best Cyrax player we have seen.
Another fact is, he is the ONLY Cyrax player to ever have won a Major so far.
You can be on stream and gain fans for your character, you can be as skilled as you can be and get respect from players. But if someone wins a Major with a character, and you didn't, you don't exactly deserve to be called the better player. This is how its always been, and how it should be.UsedForGlue, your logic fails because for example, Slips was never recorded prior to Evo and no one knew he had the best scorpion. You really don't know how he would use Cyrax without the resets, so you cant assume you would know how well, or horribly bad he would do without them. I personally have a lot of setups with Cyrax that I will showcase at Devastation in September, but if the reset is still in the game, you better believe my opponent will be forced to break or take the 73% I will inflict on them. Play to Win is the name of the game that I play.normally i wouldnt bother about this sort of disagreement but after watching many videos of maxter in action, no offense dude but without cyrax's resets i dont think you'd do so good.
and im sick of people acting like just because im from europe im automatically not as good as anyone in the u.s
cut the b.s
fair enough points dude, best of luck at devestation^This.

I personally think I have a really good Cyrax, maybe even the best. I won a local in SoCal with top players, including Online Tony who was in the top 8 at Evo, Tyrant and TeaBag who were top 16, but I cant really publicly claim that I'm the best, because I haven't won a Major with him yet, nor was the local streamed. Instead, I'm training with my character of choice(Cyrax), and I'm preparing for Devastation. You have to play your cards right.

You guys are great btw. Much respect to all of you. Hopefully one day us U.S players can cross paths with you guys for the most exciting Major yet!
