Hey so @Decay II 's topic reminded me why I love art so much. Kind of took a break there for a while but the paintings you see(except for the fruit one that was done in high school...wayy back lol) are recent. Inspired by Bob Ross's style, which you'll be able to tell easily. One painting has blood water MK inspired. So some of these SOME of you may have seen dating back to MKO, TRMK and MKU days...however a lot of you I never heard of til this site so I hope all you new comers or if you're newer to art or seeing my work, you enjoy it and by all means. Please, any ideas or perhaps character you don't see who you'd like me to take a crack at sculpt, paint whatever do tell and I'll do my best to do it!

The Sculptures/sculpted figures are both concepts of my own or from the MK series over time.

First though I'll post MK related stuff starting with two recent drawings, both Ermac concepts. First one I rushed in an hour, the other I took 5 hours(you can probably tell lol)

The sculpted figures, busts etc are actually from few years to 10 years ago during Deception's time.

I'm getting more professional quality clay, this clay is professional but too oily Van Aken great for claymation, can be used over and over. Tough to sculpt though as as time goes on and with heat, it'll kind of melt almost.

EDIT: I'm currently updating/fixing the links to that the images alone show, my fault....I forgot to do something. My fault guys!

Few months back this past winter I drew/painted these via my 3DS Art Academy application, it allows you to draw, paint and use pastels via the touchscreen. I used painting, not as many options as real life painting(obviously) but for an app it's damn good device that offers good amount of tools with DLC lessons too if you wish:




Made this/sculpted it for my mother on Mother's Day(she had an old fox terrier like it way back):

Nice dude, I can definitely try. I only sculpted a chick like once or twice haha, hadn't done it in a while so that could be interesting :)

Great to see other artists show their work! I love your passion for MK, very cool. I actually want to get more into sculpting myself, and I enjoy seeing yours. Keep up the good work, and may I make a suggestion to study anatomy a tiny bit more just to get the proportions better. Anything that can help create the illusion of reality in artwork. Thanks for showing your stuff bro

Yeah, thanks! The sculptures/figures are all very old lol. Like 10 years most of it I haven't sculpted anything in a while now been busy with painting of late and a little drawing. Mostly painting. Well, the dog too was somewhat recent.

I've found the clay I worked with was too soft and oily, which makes detailing not that easy. I also if I remember correctly think the Cyrax and Sub ones were too clunky, bigger where as the Sektor and Raiden were more accurate proportionally. The clays are/were different as well. I think if I remember right, the blue clay was crayola or some other cheap brand. The Sektor was Van Aken oil based clay. So I've found brand helps too.

But yeah, sculpting is tough yet fun. As someone who's done all 3 mediums, IMO I feel it's the hardest honestly but still fun and challenging. You should definitely try, though at first you may feel a little out of your comfort zone (with drawing in your case) I felt very intimidated way back when I first tried it from drawing, then oil painting it's like a whole different medium is like wow..this is more challenging then I thought you know? lol

I'm actually in the process of ordering myself some harder, firmer clay of late that is easier to work with then this softer oil and plastic clay.

If you're newer to sculpting, try out the Van Aken first to get your feet wet, and idea you can get a lb of that in multiple colors at your local Michaels. But if you want a crazier clay for more details, better hold etc(though armatures help) try out Chavant, Monster Clay and Plasteline. Tools you can find almost in any artstore or easily online. Also, my apologies for some of the crude fuzzy like photos, it was taken with just a generic, crappy camera the older sculptures I mean. The newer ones taken with better camera or digital which you can probably tell lol.

Wow really cool stuff MKF, I havnt got an artistic bone in my body which sucks, only musically. If I did though id definitely be doing stuff like this. Btw, I keep bumping into people I think are you online and they are all free and most of them are salty lol. (mkf30 respect, mkf30cooler?) lol

Thanks dude, appreciate it! lol yeah they're my friends(some people think they're me, but not the case. Only ONE MKF30 lol, I'm the guy ranked second on player match leaderboards. That's me, the other guys are big fans. They actually wanted to change their names lol. But yeah if you play me, or have played me I'm sure you'd tell the difference haha. I'm sure we've played at some point, right? I know MKF30 respect uses Cyrax a lot. I'm not sure who MKF30 cooler uses.

@EMPEROR_SunFire @Eddy Wang @bettyswallaux some more I found, I knew I did a Wolverine lol couldn't find it though til now. Wolverine I made I think around the time of the first Wolverine Origins movie and Video game and the rest are from:
From over 10 years ago some busts/sculptures I made in a kiln, pumpkin painted. The demon sitting or gargoyle wasn't painted, and the weird guy with the head coming out of his neck with tongue busting out of his face wasn't painted lol.

Also in the background was a snowman I made from water air drying clay.
