MK9 Singles and Tag Team Tournament Sunday, August 28th, 2011 GET HYPE!!

Hello everybody, Gameworx is proudly presenting an ALL Mortal Kombat tournament! Who really has the best MK players in TX? Every city wonders and hopefully after this tournament, we will get some answers. I'd love for EVERYBODY in TX who loves MK to come and compete. We will be having a singles MK tournament as well as tag team. Start practicing everybody!


Where: Gameworx, located at 12107 Toepperwein Road #8, Live Oak, TX
When: Sunday, August 28th, 2011
Games featured: Mortal Kombat 9 Singles and Tag Team
Start Time: 1pm for Singles and 5pm for Tag
Venue Fee: $5
Entry Fees: $10 for Singles, $5 for each player in Tag
Format: Playstation 3 (PS3 Wireless Controller allowed) and Xbox 360. If 2 players disagre on system, match must be played on PS3. If player refuses, he forfeits his match.

Rules:

-Freddy Kruger banned
-Kratos banned
-MK3 Cyrax, MK2 Smoke and MK2 Noob costumes banned
-Street Stage and God of War stage banned. If you arrive at either of these stages, back out and manually stage select
-Default stage for anybody color blind is The Courtyard (daytime).
-Pit Bottom banned (blood soaked chars looks terrible on stream and very distracting)
-Kombat Kodes banned
-2 rounds, best of 3 series until semi finals, best of 5. Grand finals is best of 5.
-70/20/10 split for 1st/2nd/3rd respectively

Correct. Evo was the only major to ban wireless PS3 controllers

dumb about codes. no blood should be allowed to make the games go faster. cant say the same for zombies as it throws some characters projectiles off.

If I can get extra PS3s going, I can start it earlier that's fine. I don't expect a lot of teams, but we can start it earlier that's cool

Okay awesome. Just remember youre gonna need 4 USB ports for teams. Unless at least 2 ppl use wireless pads.

Updated the rules, due to request of local SA players, tournament is now being played on both systems. Please review rules if you have any questions

GW has controller hubs that allow for extra USB space so that's taken care of
