I've had that problem before... as well as always telling me I don't have the different compatability packs downloaded... So fucking annoying.

Usually clearing the cache works.

I bought Ultimate Edition just to get rid of that stupid fucking problem with having to re-download the compatibility packs and what not. I had all the DLC anyway, but that shit got annoying really quick.

But if clearing the cache didn't fix the problem you guys are having, just keep hitting the "A" button. It works after a few times.

haha, I'm not buying the game again to fix that. I'll just clear the cache. :p

There are service alerts in effect for Xbox Live right now. Neither of them talk of the gaming aspect, but just the fact that we can't connect right now tells me that they are related to the issue.

That or they haven't yet released a notice on the matchmaking system undergoing maintenance in addition to the other two issues. For something like this, clearing your cache cannot cure the issue.

I'd rather not be bothered with having to do that. You go in expecting to play, get the retarded error, download whichever ones it says you're "missing" and then hope it works.

I only had to pay $10 for Ultimate Edition, so it wasn't a big deal to me. =P

but when 8 try to go online it says i do not have permissikn for xbox live. What does it mean?
