Don't take it the wrong way mate. It's not a personal thing. You're a good player, better than a lot of people on there. Thats not really the point i was making.
Firstly in the states, there is like a couple of noteable mainstream grundy players and most of them counter pick the MU. Tyrant for example uses superman as a backup so it's not likely you'll see many meaningful ds vs grundy matches anyway. With me, the fact is, i don't counter pick -ever, its a personal choice, so whom ever you choose, even if it's a bad mu for me, i will pick grundy - if i were to counter pick one person it would be for DS and superman... my 6:4 is entirely based on what i have experienced... and in my opinion, thats a conservative estimate.
The reason your strategy DS player normally beats grundy is because of the patience, factor. Sometimes i can be bothered to sit there, read and watch you fireguns at me all day, sometimes i can't. When i get impatient i lose, i'm human. I'm not saying i downloaded you, i'm saying, as a bit of advice, you should mix up your strategies, because they're predictable so eventually, someone will download you. Mustard or Ketchup (apologies i don't remember which one) play a good DS. On ps3, look up igor13mefestofel, he has a full blown rush down strategy and last time i looked, he is top of the ps3 leaderboards. HE is a nightmare to deal with. - DS isn't just a zoner character.
I think it's important for you to understand why i declined playing you. Sparring with a 'zoner deathstroke/superman, is sort of like playing a 80's game of donkey kong, you know the portable ones where you have to jump over the barrels till you get to the boss? What you don't understand is, that kind of match, as much fun as it is for you, isn't really fun for a grundy player. I'll play you in ranked and in tournament, that's fine, but if i have to choose to play people, I'm going to play someone who makes my game time enjoyable. Selfish i'm sure but thats the truth of it. I get this sort of trouble from a lot of people... they don't really understand what it's like to be on the receiving end of a zoner.... if you've ever played a grappler against someone who relies heavily on zoning, you will appreciate how unbelievably tedious it is to sit there and block or jump fireballs till you're in a corner, only to have them escape out of it. Believe me when i tell you, it's not fun. It's not a personal thing, its just the way it is. Just think to yourself... in those 10k+ games i've played, imagine how many fireballs/guns/lasers i've had to jump/dodge/block... sometimes i'll play up to 10-20 games in a row on ranked and they're all 'zoners'.... regardless of character..
