A new main hero for MK?

Since Shujinko was a failure including Taven. None of them can replace Liu Kang.

But if there was a new hero NOW in the MK, how would you see this character a new hero? Perhaps like Dante from DmC?

Not a monk, but perhaps a young runaway from a city? Liu had a thing for Kitana once, but hope this one can find some good girl.

Or what about about since Liu is based on Bruce Lee, how about a new fighter based on Tony Jaa?

I do not really want to see a new "main" hero for Mortal Kombat. I did not actually mind Shujinko or Taven that much, but it would be better for them to just keep a "main" hero out of the story. There multi-perspective story telling is much better anyways.

I want Liu Kang to remain the hero, but NRS seriously should revamp his personality--he's so bland. I love Liu Kang because unlike that OP idiot, Shujinko, or the half-god, Taven, he's a human capable of beating Gods through willpower and skill alone. :')
