When it comes down to it, there's really only two characters from MK9 that I want to return in MKX:
1. Reptile
2. Shang Tsung

Reptile is too awesome to not be in MKX, he didn't even die in MK9 so he can't be done yet. As for Shang Tsung... SOMTHING happened to him, but it would be disappointing if that was his actual death in MK9, I'd LOVE to see him switch sides and be some type of hero or anti-hero.

It wasn't a slip, he was referring to matchups in other games where you might say Raiden is a bad matchup for Liu Kang or Johnny cage is a bad matchup for Sub Zero. He repeated it in several interviews. Its not a slip. He is not revealing anything.

There is more creedence to the Sonya / Johnny Cage confirm and the Guest character confirm.
