I agree on Halo 3 being ass. Reach and 4 were alright, nothing to get hype over, that's for sure.

well considering they tried new stuff with equipment and such in the next installment. They ended up banning them from MLG. Then halo got dropped from MLG after a while. Considering that the largest success of Halo 2 was due to its competitive community online and off. They nailed it with its formula. I personally dislike all the spartan abilities and equipments. It's pretty dumb imo lol
Reach was better, but only slightly and being better than H3 (in my mind) is no real accomplishment.
No one likes change. If the MLG players would have gone with it, they could have made it into something good. But they didn't and Halo isn't progressing as a series at all.
They did try it...and it got banned from MLG lol It made the game too noob friendly imo
I honestly liked playing Reach with my friends online. It was really fun and if I recall correctly... I don't remember anything being super broken. But I didn't play it for a super long time or anything so maybe there was. Didn't play 4.

Final verdict:
I'm not saying reach is the way to go, but at least keep trying to make it something new. You don't get anywhere by repeating the same thing over and over (and by this I don't mean sales, b/c we all know that can work... look at COD). I just mean, when I buy a new halo game... I want it to feel new and exciting with things that need to be explored in the MP. Not the same stuff I played 8 years ago.

lol i still think CoD is fun. It's a fast paced arcade shooter and it gets my blood pumping lol Also its still the biggest title at MLG lol Also they had equipment in halo 3 and that was what i was referencing too. To my knowledge i don't even think reach made it to MLG and if it did, im sure it wasn't in there for long. Also H2 was out for like 4 years thats a lot of exploring done in that game finding out all the BXB's and BXR's and what not.
