I'm gonna make this skill gap... disappear.
Too much negativity has been going around about tournaments for their organization, streams, attendance, players, etc.
Let's cut the bullshit and start being more positive in this regard, because this is not a place where hype is built, but rather, where true schisms and rifts have began to form in our community.
UFGT10 was an excellent tournament. The level of play was great, many matches were extremely hype, some amazing comebacks were mounted, and we got to see another very diverse top 8. Congratulations to @EMPEROR_THEO for another major victory, to all those who were able to make it to top 8, and to everyone who went to the tournament and supported our game- you are what keeps the game alive and the community strong.
The stream was ran very well. The replays were really awesome and something I haven't seen much of while watching events. Quality was excellent. Commentary was strong pretty much the entire time, even when some people who don't have great backgrounds in Injustice were on the mic. Major props to @BGCallisto for bringing us an excellent show and demonstrating just how great our game can be.
Since I wasn't there, I cannot speak for the organization and venue, but things seemed strong for the most part from a viewer's perspective. It is unfortunate that @Filipino Man had to compete in another event during the top 8 for Injustice, but such scheduling conflicts are bound to happen and are more of a testament to how good he is as a player in multiple games than anything else.
Fuck the "new leaf" and fuck the bitterness. Let's just land somewhere in the middle, where we keep our friendly rivalries for hype with some level of measured respect, and support all our tournaments and those putting in the work to make them possible.
