I have recently been looking into purchasing the Wii U for my little brother who likes to play mindless party games such as Super Smash Brothers. I have been analyzing the console's price and specifics on Wikipedia, which caused me to ask myself why tournament organizers are not using the Wii U for current and future Injustice tournaments.

The Wii U is $100 less expensive than the PS4 and $200 less expensive than the X-Box One, which could save tournament organizers lots of money. Furthermore, the Wii U supports high-definition graphics just like PS4 and X-Box One. The online game play, the Nintendo Network, is also free of charge.

What do you guys think? Should the Wii U be the tournament standard for Injustice?

By the way, Martian Manhunter is not available as downloadable content on the Wii U.

How the hell is Dave still allowed to post? God damn....
Could you please get your head out of your ass? I am looking out for tournament organizers. Running a tournament is not cheap, and I am trying to suggest new ways to save money and keep the competitive fighting game scene alive.

I actually own the WiiU Version

Pros:
+WiiU runs the game better than 360+PS3
+WiiU gamepad can handle the game also at a steady 60FPS

Cons:
-Not Updated (stuck on Zod Patch)
-Online does not have private matches
-Online is laggy
-Wireless controllers
-To hardwire the system, you have to buy a LAN adapter

I sense a alternate motive

Oh and KN/TOs would have to buy WiiUs.... so it wouldn't be "cheap" by any means.

There is also no complete edition for the WiiU version so we have to make x amount of accounts per system

Because of Jupiter?

If the Wii U copy of Injustice has no Martian Manhunter, Jupiter will have to learn to adapt. Probably the only time he will have to adapt as a Martian Manhunter player.

But thanks for sharing the specifics, by the way.

Actually now that I think about it. Wound Cowboy and P2W should be saying the PC version should be the tournament standard. No background lag, the copy goes on sale for super cheap sometimes, plus it isn't hotfixed with the Sinestro push block "feature." Oh but I think they would support a community ban on the Batgirl infinite though.

I think when selecting a system for tournaments, one of the most important things would be that the system play the majority of games that would be played at the tournament--in that regard, I would say no to the Wii U. I have one and like it though.

It has NOTHING to do with Jupiter or Sonic Fox or ANY player

There are still 4 other DLC characters to purchase. No season pass either. 20 extra bucks per system.

So I don't know why the hell you're knocking Jupiter down because you can't beat him (matter of fact, do you even PLAY him?).
