Battle Arena Melbourne (BAM6) returned for it's 6th installment on the 9th - 11th of May 2014. Various players from all around Australia made their way to the tournament venue CQ Functions in Melbourne to represent their state and test their skills against each other on the big stage.
BAM6 proved to be a hype and successful event that was enjoyed by all the people that attended, especially the injustice players. Although the Australian injustice community is small, we still managed to stick together and support our scene and show that the Australian injustice community is stronger than ever.
n-megabytes came out victorious in this event making it through to first place without losing a single match throughout the whole injustice tournament.
However, Gilbagz was the crowd pleaser as he made it all the way to the finals with The Joker! Along his road to the finals, he had to face the previous Australian injustice champion Falco. The highlight of the tournament was the 4th match between Falco and Gilbagz where it came down to the last hit. The score was 2 -1 in Falco's favor and Falco was getting pressured by Gilbagz's Joker setups with less than 10% health so Falco decided to yolo super and did catch Gilbagz off guard taking him down to less than 10% health as well. Falco knew that Gilbagz would be left standing after the super so he decided to go for a f23 however Gilbagz made a godlike read and grabbed him out of the f2 and won the match. The final round of the set was Joker beating superman convincingly with a lot of mixups and unblockables that Gilbagz had with his character. Falco "didn't stand a chance" against Pan1cMode's batgirl either and was sent home with 5th place.
Unfortunately, the Gilbagz/Pan1cMode vs Falco matches were not recorded however all the other tournament matches were recorded and will be uploaded onto YouTube in the very near future.

Couch Warriors Award Announcement
Every year we strive to recognize members of the community that have lifted themselves to new levels, whether it be as players of Street Fighter or Marvel, or as pillars of the local fighting games community. To that end here are the Community Award winners for BAM6, as voted by BAM6 attendees.
The injustice award was won by Gilbagz who was voted to be the most improved injustice player and was given a medal for this achievement.
