Hey guys,

A friend and I are trying to get into the competitive scene but would like to get a lot more offline practice in. We're in Peoria, IL and it's hard to come across other players that want to take it as seriously as we do. It would be really cool to set up some times for some hangouts and get some serious MK time in. Hit me up in this thread and maybe we can get this going.

I live in Glenview, and want some offline practice as well. The thing is, I have no car, Lol.

Also, I want to go to GGA, but I don't because I have no way back home, seeing as sessions/events start at 6 P.M. or later and run till 2 AM, and public transportation is closed by than.

Ah, yeah I would be down for that but I'm about 3 and a half hours south of you and I work 8:30am to 5pm monday through friday. So realistically... even once a month would be pushing it unless I were participating in a tourney and it would have to be on a weekend. But I probably need a lot more practice in before I get to that point.

If anybody in the central IL area wants to get together for some casuals or maybe we can try setting up a weekly/bi-weekly location or something... that would be awesome.

Yo I'm in Springfield. I'm dying for a weekly or bi-weekly session. I'd go to Peoria if it fit my schedule.

If you can you should go to Chicago Heart this Saturday.

Hmmmm. Chicago Heart sounds cool. Which way do you go to get to chicago from springfield? If you're willing to grab me along the way I can split gas with you. I can prob meet you in bloomington since it seems you go through there on the way. Only issue though is that I use the PDP stick so... it only works on 360. Hopefully someone has a converter there.

And as far as the casuals go, I don't have my own place right now or I'd host at my place, but I'm going to try and figure something out. There's got to be somewhere that would allow this.

Hey guys, A.R.K. IV is coming up September 17th-18th in Jacksonville, AR! I know we're not exactly super close, but some areas of your state are at a reasonable distance from our venue. We have some people driving 8-12 hours to get here, so I hope at least some of you guys are willing to drive less than that to come out!

We are expecting ~200 people with games such as SSF4:AE, SF 3S:OE, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat 9, Melee, Brawl, BB:CS II, and more! Competitors are coming in from at least 6-7 several states to compete!

Note that our tournament is working on securing sponsorships from well known companies which will each be providing additional prizes and bonus pots for our tournaments. The Traveling Circus has expressed interest as of this time. Also, well-known regional modder DaRabidDuckie will be on hand to provide dual mods (PS3 <-> 360) for fight sticks.
