I am guilty of this
Ya, I saw this yesterday and it gave me feels.

So, today, I went through the entire day at school without my headphones plugged in my ears, surprisingly it was quite nice. In the end we are all humans, everyone wants companionship, so, I think people should stop being afraid of conversation. If someone came up to you and started a convo would you respond with a mean attitude? I wouldn't, and I bet 99% of the other people wouldn't either, we just have this vision that people are this horrible thing to attempt to communicate with. So no one really does. One life, might as well interact.

Anything can be unhealthy without moderation but this is becoming a world wide epidemic in most odd way
You've got a daughter--if I'm not mistaken--so I'm sure you see a much more "new generation" outlook than someone who doesn't have kids. But I agree--it's weird and it's an epidemic--I just don't know if it's "bad." By "it" I mean social media, not over-indulgence. Over-indulgence is always bad.

It's ironic, the more that we delve into a 3D generation, the more one dimensional the people become.
