STB Immortal Kombat wins Injustice at Northwest Majors 6 - [UPDATED] With MK9 and KI Results

Another year in the Pacific Northwest brings us another exciting tournament at Northwest Majors 6! Although last year's champion (Reggie) did not make the return to this top 8, we do still see the rise of a new Doomsday prodigy in STB Immortal Kombat, as well as a cluster of talent from Shujinkydink's beloved STB crew and new faces from the venue's surroundings. Would this event culminate into another prophetic sign of the Apocalypse, or would a hero stand triumphant?! Today, the top 8 for NW6 would deliver to us a resounding answer!

The tournament came down to a vicious struggle between the Bat Muchacho and STB Immortal Kombat, Gotham's Dark Knight versus the bringer of doom. Immortal Kombat held his own and weathered down Batman's technological assault, forcing Bat Muchacho to switch over to Black Adam in hopes of bettering his odds. Sadly for him, the choice does not pay off and the final result is Doomsday performing a repeat tournament victory at Northwest Majors 6!

We extend our congratulations to STB Immortal Kombat for overcoming the competition to win it all! Our supports go out to the Pacific Northwest scene for providing us all with their display of talent and we look forward to seeing what else they will demonstrate in the future!

Quick note: I ran a little late tuning in to this, so if I got any of the results incorrect, please inform me immediately.

I also realize this is not my usual write-up style, but again, I ran late and the results article would have taken forever to arrive if I delayed it to give detail.

Been forever since I got to do an article and I fucking missed it. They will not be lowered in quality, I assure you.

Can we also throw out a shout out for T4P for winning the super duper intense team tournament off stream and in the corner of the top floor?

T4P Great One broke backs and T4P Nowhereman did some intense pistoling....and zod ball shooting, and wraith summoning

Yay for T4P for being the only team with actual team members on it. (Everyone else just chose partners)

I've got a question to ask you and please don't take it the wrong way. Why didn't you attempt to parry any of Doomsday's d1 attempts after a blocked MB Venom, mid-to-full screen MB Venoms or back-to-back 33s?

Lol, Had a note in my phone for immortal Kombat that read "typically does d1 or f2 after mb venom, you can parry both"

I practiced the reversal timing and practiced blocking earth shaker but failed to execute, simple as that, plus he threw in raw earth shakers which beat the parry. Definitely should have though, it will be something I'll need to work on. His doomsday was too fast after he built the momentum, couldn't think, just had to react.

In the future, I recommend that all button checks be performed before the match begins. Doing so mid-match is disruptive of the progress of the tournament. I mean no disrespect to the players, just imparting my thoughts.

@The BatMuchacho - I see you with that Batman. ;)

Congrats to @Immortal Kombat once again.

I just watched my footage. Man I jumped a lot against Bat Muchacho. Gonna have to work on that.

Also, I kinda looked like an Oompa Loompa. I just wasn't wearing purple.

a HUGE congrats to @Immortal Kombat for winning NWM with his Doomsday! You can still say you've never placed below Top 8! ;)

And now that I saw him wrecking people with his doomsday, I don't feel quite so bad as our matches are usually pretty close! Good showing, my friend and I hope you travel to some other tournies to open people's eyes more about you all's scene up there.
