The Amazing Spiderman 2 Spoiler talk

Fucking loved this movie, wanted to get some discussion going. Never post spoilers in the OP, but if you didn't read, there is spoilers coming. So to start, who liked it and who didn't?

Im happy Gwen Died. Jamie Fox Played an Amazing Electro. Electro was probably one of the best parts of the movie. Some things made actually no sense at all. Like The plane scene was pointless as fuck. Spiderman had no idea that he had to save those people. I dont get the point of it at all. It was interesting that peter found his fathers secret place but i would have liked if they touched upon it more. Goblin was done pretty good as well. 5 Minutes of Rhino. . Also the movie said with great power comes great responsibility zero times.

Can we talk about how Rhino was in every single trailer but like 5 mins in the movie? I'm happy he wasn't a big part of the film because it would've gotten really crowded like Spider-Man 3 did but god damn, why did they have to put the last shot of the film in every single trailer? The ending scene was corny as all hell too. It was even worse than the crane scene in the first one. Peter finding out what his father's secret was really lame, once he found it out it was like "okay?". The score by Hans Zimmer and a bunch of others (The Magnificent Six as he calls them) was a bit all over the place, I wasn't a fan. Visual effects were really well done, the suit rippling in the wind as he's falling in one of the first shots looked cool. Also Electro's design was cool but Max was so comic book-y, I wish they would've written him to seem more like an actual person. I got to give them credit for killing off Gwen, that's a pretty ballsy move for such a big Hollywood film. The Green Goblin battle was a bit lackluster, I hope they have a more grand fight in the next one. It was watchable, better than I expected but nothing that great either.

EDIT: Oh and the unnecessary back and forth love drama between Peter and Gwen got old real fast.

I believe you're in the minority opinion here, bud. Electro and Goblin interpretation was fantastic and I absolutely LOVE that they had the balls to do the actual Gwen storyline. Her and Uncle Ben mark two of the most, if not the most, defining moments in Spidey's journey as a hero.

And about Rhino... I'm okay with that. I know the trailers were misleading, but for the sake of the story I'm glad he was a small part. The story was much more about Electro and Goblin and their relationships/misdirected hatred for Spiderman. Rhino served his purpose as a villain we all know who can cause some havoc for Spiderman to fight.

I was really worried by all the lukewarm reviews, but this movie was utterly fantastic.

If the Movie only had Goblin and the 5 Minutes of Rhino i would be upset with the Movie. I will agree the Gwen Peter thing was please just stop. But they did that to make the Death more Felt by the people watching. The thing with his Father was nice. But they should have done more with it. I really just loved Electro in this Movie. Like way too much. The music for him was perfect. He was just awesome. I thought Max was done fine really. And i mean its a Comic Book movie . This movie was kinda like Iron man 2. Foreshadowing another Movie. This one obviously showing off The sinster Six.

Its okay they will probably recast her as Random Image Spider man sees in the next movie.

Also when Gwen Died in the movie a little Kid said when the theater was silent. "Is she Dead?" It got more Quiet after the kid said that.

The cinema I saw it in was very silent as well during that part, is was pretty quiet during the whole thing but these d-bags behind me and my friend kept pointing out how much Peter cries in it.

At least your crowd interruption was appropriate. When Spidey touched down and began cradling her in his arms, slowly weeping in confusion, this guy sneezed with an epic level of decibels. The packed theatre collectively turned in his direction for a couple of seconds.

Dane DeHaan was a good Harry Osborn, tho I personally felt like Hob Goblin wasn't needed in the film. It was kinda a waste, along with Rhino. TASM 3 better expand on their roles and story.

All in all, the movie was incredible. Our theatre gave a round of applause and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I just hope X-Men is just as good or better.

Electro Isn't dead. Hes going to come back probably. And it was Green Goblin not Hob Goblin. Unless they put him in the Movie as Hob Goblin O_O. They really could have had just Electro in the Movie and it would have been fine. Shrugs.

Spider-man was hilarious in this movie. I was kind of sad about them casting emma stone as gwen in the first place, because i love her and i knew she was going to die lol. The action was great and the acting was very solid, but they did throw in way too much unnecessary stuff. I'm gonna be so pissed if they bring in mary jane for the next movie as a love interest. it'd completely ruin the power of the last gwen scene. overall it was really good, id say 8/10.

I think it had my favorite Supervillain fight scenes in a comic book movie yet. They actually felt like a superhero fight. Not "insert Marvel hero fighting soldiers of whatever army". I'm excited as to where this Sinister Six movie will go.

I feel like that had to be Felicia Hardy. Knew wayyy too much about secret Oscorp stuff for a secretary.

Gwen Stacy's death was great, because of the emotion in the scene and that I'm not sure people knew\believed it would happen. Saw a lot of people almost crying, even my friends who knew it was coming

It might happen in time. The suit he is wearing did help to stop what was happening to him from fully happening. And at the end he did say it comes and goes. So who knows.

I will say Spider-Man, the suit, the attitude, and the fight scenes were amazing.

Like him flying through the air web swinging was amazing.

I hope the 3rd one ties it all together or Sony lets the rights go and we finally get to see Peter help the Avengers.
