What's new

The greatest tournament set I've ever played in Injustice.

This took place at last Friday's Weekly Scraps local in Atlanta, GA.
Call me out for prop-fishing if you want, but this set is too good for me to not make a thread about it. It's been incredibly motivating for me and I give props to @AK Dream Sword for pushing me this far as a player (he also changed his name at my command :D ).

Things I know I did wrong that you won't have to point out:

1. Not going for the interactables. To be honest, I forgot they were even there. I was too busy trying to stay in Raven's face that I didn't want to take unsafe approaches. We also thought the propeller in the museum could be countered by Raven's reflect, but after testing it in training mode, we realized that was untrue. :(

2. At 6:15 in the video, you see me score a f3, follow up with a combo, and then attempt to end it by using the gun turret, releasing trait, and grappling all at once. The grapple made contact, but a trait bat hit afterwards and cancelled the animation, causing a knockdown. That...was stupidity on my part. I guess I released the trait because I wanted to make sure Raven stayed juggled long enough for me to connect with the grapple and get a standing reset for one bar. I knew how getting attacked while grappled will actually release you from it.

3. In the first match, I forgot Raven had clash and didn't do a double b3. This needs no explanation.

Before anybody comments on how I stagger my offense so much, Dream Sword does so damn good at defending against my offense that I find I can't count on anything hitting him unless I catch him doing something unsafe and I punish him for it. This is why you see me lose so many opportunities to combo. I'm working my ass off to open him up and god damn, it's a chore.

I honestly think this will become one of the frustrating match-ups for Batman to deal with at the highest level, although nothing one-sided...but after watching this set so many times I'm getting ideas that I want to test out in training mode. If they work, it could make all the difference. After all, Batman has too many tools to not have an answer to something.

Still can't believe that trait bat didn't hit at the end of the final match. :(

Forgot to add:

The f3 I did at 12:05 was supposed to be dash-cancelled, but considering I was dashing forward, his pillar still would have hit me. :(
