I'm going to say one thing about all this, those who don't think that IGAU will even get a sequel are crazy. The IP and the comic proved to be a success and its going to get a sequel. For those that seem to think that NRS cannot work on a new game and another new game are crazy too. Typically when a game is announced and trailer and gameplay is shown off and they show that the game is just a few months away like say from here to October or March of next year, the developer is already getting prepped and ready for their next project and the current one is likely in post-production and they are simply fine tuning things. IGAU was likely in full production close to the end of MK9's development and was likely in pre-production during the development of MK9.

They definitely weren't talking about the comic. Ed Boon's fueling the rumours on twitter too which he would never do if this was all just a misunderstanding.

A lot of denial in this thread. Reminds me of when Zod & Batgirl were "rumoured" to be DLC when every piece of evidence was there.

I can however imagine that we may see an injustice on xbone some time down the line. But injustice 2? I would be tight mk10 first then injustice 2 .

When there are direct quotes that talk about the "Injustice: Year Two Comic Book" I don't see how it could be the game. One site is saying "the news no one heard" whereas other sites are reporting it's about the comic. At best it's conflicting information and "he said/she said", at worst it's misreporting from a site.


Edit: Also, where does the "2015 title" come from? That same website that's saying it's about Injustice? Some other site that others ran with? Those words may have never been spoken.

That's what I'm saying. If it was just bad wording/miscommunication from their representives at Wondercon, I'm sure it would have been cleared up by now. And Boon would not be feeding the rumour.

That has basically the same wording as the furiousfanboys article which is where most, if not everyone, is getting this "Injustice 2" thing from.

While people were applauding and cheering, they specifically said that Batman: Arkham Knight would be released later this year. After that statement is what most people didn’t hear, and they said to prepare for the return of Injustice. The “not a 2014 title” statement applied to the new Injustice, not the Batman sequel. No other details about the new Injustice, such as who is developing it, was revealed but it is apparently on the way…just not this year.

At last week's WonderCon DC confirmed that after this fall's Batman: Arkham Knight is released, that they would be returning to the Injustice universe some time after 2014. No game studio is locked in to produce the game at the minute but developers NetherRealm are the likely candidates to return; no release date has been set but don't expect a release late this year, DC stated that the game would "not be a 2014 title".

So they may just be taking it from FFB.

WB has said that they don't speak on rumor/speculation and ED Boon is a troll lol.

There's also the bunch of retweets and posts he had during the Injustice pre-release of character requests and crap like that. It's what Boon does, he doesn't lie on his twitter but he's really misleading.

this is interesting, everyone is posting this but the source is furious fanboys, ive never heard of the site so does anyone know if they are a good source? every site is posting their news like they are.....maybe its true? my only issue is WB hasnt confirmed it which is weird if they announced it at WC but maybe they want to be mysterious?

Not like, look for Injustice Gods Among Us™ in Arkham night. I'm not talking about the inevitable fight scene where Brucey gives Harley a beatdown with our beloved disk. I'm talking about REAL Injustice, as in like.....

Two things. First, just because a theory exists does not place the onus on developers / publishers to debunk it. Second, people who break NDAs don't keep their jobs.

Injustice 2's announcement will happen whenever it was scheduled to announce and not a minute earlier. Either this guy at Wondercon said exactly what he was supposed / allowed to say on the subject and all this conjecture is part of their plan, or he's already been reprimanded and probably won't be heard from again any time soon.

It is INCREDIBLY rare for a leak to be so damaging / significant that anyone will officially weigh in on it. I can really only think of maybe five examples in contrast to maybe a hundred times they've gone unremarked.

Kotaku articles, Rampant tweets, and misleading Youtube vids are only going to fuel the fire and turn this into another "Kintaro is on disc DLC" situation.

I'm not convinced that such a small and random announcement was to let people know an Injustice 2 was being worked on. I'm expecting more along the lines of MK being released, then a new Injustice a year or 2 later, then another new MK, etc pattern. These guys are in the money making business.

With that being said, when it does come around, I don't know if they will remove certain characters but if they do the only ones I'd say for sure will be gone is Ares, Scorpion, and possibly either Batgirl or NW for a Robin or Red Hood replacement.

Characters that should unquestionably be added in part 2 and most likely will be are Captain Atom, Power Girl/Supergirl, Darkseid, and Red Hood/Robin. I'd bet the house those characters will be added. Beast Boy type demands are just hopeful speculation that most likely won't be in the game.
