Noob problem or something else?

Okay, I am having a problem with KI. I was in practice mode when I noticed that my heavy punch and heavy kick wasn't working. At first I thought that my controller just didn't work, so I played all the other Xbox One games that I owned. The controller worked just fine.
So I go back to KI and the heavy kick and heavy punch still don't work. Nothing happens when I hit the right bumper or right trigger. But my left bumper and left trigger work just fine. So I go into options and switch heavy punch and heavy kick to left bumper and left trigger. Now left bumper and left trigger don't work....but right bumper and left trigger work just fine!
Just to make sure it wasn't the controller I played all the games I owned again and it works just fine.
Are there other members of your community that are having the same problems or am I just doing something stupid but don't know that I am doing something stupid?

If you turn on your controller inputs in practice, do the RB and RT inputs show up at least? Or do you get nothing?

I had some serious input issues with the xbox one, so bad that my right and A button actually switch places... ANYWHO

Try plugging your system out.

Yeah they show up, the problem starts when I try to play. If I uninstall and then reinstall will I lose any of the stuff I managed to unlock? I tried to go Double Helix but their forums are still down.

No, you'll still have everything as long as you don't delete the game data as well. Uninstalling a game from your hard drive is like taking a game out of your old PS1. You still have your saves on your memory card for when you put the game back in (reinstall it)

It might be the disc. I've had problems on Gears of War and CoD 4 were i couldn't play on certain maps or proceed to certain lvl's in their Campaign modes.

I downloaded KI. I went with the 20 buck version. KI doesn't have a physical version, unless I have been out of the loop.

This is the first time I've heard of something like this, and it sounds really wierd.

The only problem I ever had with my controller was when the rumble stopped working on the triggers. Turns out when your batterys start getting low the controller disables the trigger rumble automatically to save battery life. this was noticible when playing Forza. I honestly thought it was screwed, but then looked into it, and just replaced the batterys and I was good.

Next thing i would do is google to see if anyone else has had similar problems. Next after that would be contacting XBOX. There Chat support through the website is surprisingly good. I had 2 point cards that wouldn't redeem, and they had them replaced for me in less then 24 hours.

But since it sounds like it may be the game, I would uninstal the game, then Hard Reset my One.

If you don't know how to hard reset. You hold the power button on the One until it turns it's self off. Then unplug the power bar from the system (the back of the system not the wall). Leave it for at least 30 seconds, I usually leave mine for a minute or 2.

Plug it back in, then power up. Then re download and install KI.

Hopefully you have some luck.
