What most people don't realize though, is that Injustice has 2 big components of the audience:

1) People who are playing it because they played MK and Injustice was the next game by the same company
2) People who didn't play or care about MK, but like DC comics or found Injustice appealing because it's a cool game and has crossups and other such mechanics

I think that no matter what, some people will only like Injustice, some people will only like MK, and some people will like both. But we can't act like it's all the same group of people and they will all jump ship no matter what.
I thought the same at one time. Then I realized the majority of people attending tournaments for Injustice also attended for MK9. More people are gonna jump ship than you think.

So Kabal players didn't do any NDC's against Cyrax?

Point being, it's not really a talking point as to why the matchup is difficult for Cyrax.

Also, so what if Cyrax can punish it? Cyrax is ridiculous too. Doesn't mean Kabal isn't. They're both ridiculous, which is exactly my point. Evo 2013 was two characters that were emblematic of everything wrong with the game.

Because it's not what makes the matchup bad or how the majority of the set went? Those are 13 frame normals that create a frame trap that's +2 on block, and chances of making that 1/30th of a second count every time isn't absolute, he was inherently designed with the yomi of when he's going to let rip, if he didn't have that, his upclose game would be pringles. Not to mention DJT himself plays a relatively diluted Cyrax, (has anyone ever seen him use a breaker trap or an unbreakable setup?). I'm not saying it's justified, I still think he's the best character in the game, but I don't think he would've gotten away with as much if everyone had universal training resources. Imagine people trying to combat MMH's sweep distance shenanigans with MK9's training mode, it'd be a blowout by now. You're looking at far too semantically as opposed to what really happened. Part of admittedly was probably because REO wasn't ready for a Cyrax player with DJT's attributes.
