I think is wrong to assume that Keits will consider KI as somekind of precious project while others will consider it as "another" project; I don't think he has such a great love for fighting games, I think he looks at the games in general as a business, he can love it as any other person that is involve in creative work but I doubt he will do a better job, IG doesn't have the experience for this kind of project, imo. Check their website and look the projects they were involved.Who's going to do a better job? Keits, or some guy that just thinks of it as another project?
Glad you read it, i was gonna tag you but my internet is bad I told you I'd say it to your face no prob <3 Don't act like you don't know who I am~Love reading shit like this. Just proves my statement even more thank you.
Off topic, but just today I understood your username. :tonytSince Keits is involved, I'm expecting to read a lot of cringe worthy posts from the MK community on twitter today.
Then you know nothing of Keits. Anyone who actually follows what he does know he puts a lot of personal investment in these projects and want them to succeed.I think is wrong to assume that Keits will consider KI as somekind of precious project while others will consider it as "another" project; I don't think he has such a great love for fighting games, I think he looks at the games in general as a business, he can love it as any other person that is involve in creative work but I doubt he will do a better job, IG doesn't have the experience for this kind of project, imo. So you follow Keits? do you know about this personal investment? Sorry but he could be an awesome guy full of smiles, etc. but it doesn't erase the fact that IG profile isn't strong enough to handle the KI project, and it is a fact that he tries whenever he can to promote that pseudo fighting game: divekick instead of many fighting games more suitable to the FGC. My point is and always will be is that because of people like him the FGC is a publishers driven community more that a truly grassroots community, and I think the evo guys (including Keits) masquerade themselves as a community when in fact they are a business. I hope this entertained you. .Then you know nothing of Keits. Anyone who actually follows what he does know he puts a lot of personal investment in these projects and want them to succeed.
But keep pretending like you know whats going on, its entertaining.
. I don't think you know what the full Iron Galaxy profile is when making comments like that. Regardless, Iron Galaxy has sponsored tournaments and put their own money out there just for their game at events. If you haven't noticed, this isn't something that is done often. Even by major publishers. If anything, support seems to have decreased as of late. And yet, there's a pot bonus for Divekick nearly all the time. If you look at the list of games at all UFGTs you'd see that practically every game is there. Games that were sponsored have priority in stream time.So you follow Keits? do you know about this personal investment? A lot of it's due to the pre KI-release trash talk people gave Injustice.I have faith in IG. The game is already laid out in a way...just stick to the formula? lol
Why is there so much attitude towards KI and this transition? Were you expecting NRS to get the job? lol...KI is a really good game.
I dont know who was saying that but I doubt its one of the few people who actually even play KI on TYM.A lot of it's due to the pre KI-release trash talk people gave Injustice.
"When KI is released no one will play Injustice it's such a shitty game hurdur."
"I can't wait for KI so we can all stop pretending that Injustice isn't terrible."
It's kinda come back to haunt the KI guys.
To be fair there was a lot of people shitting on Injustice before KI was even really discussed. I think the general mindset was that Injustice was going to die prior to the balance patch. Then the patch happened and breathed new life into the game.A lot of it's due to the pre KI-release trash talk people gave Injustice.

I don't know how somebody can think Smash isn't a fighting game if you have them watch that documentary firstI don't particularly find interest in Divekick but I don't see how it can be classified as anything other than a fighting game. But I'm also of the mindset that smash brothers is a fighting game and I know many don't believe that to be the case. Regardless I rather have a dev who has experience with fighting games working on KI than some random development studio that doesn't.
But that is exactly my point, this competitive events are driven by money from publishers, it isn't about what the players prefer, instead it is about how much money the publishers invest. Same with commentators, they aren't choose by what the fans like, nor even by they career, they are choosen arbitrary accordingly to what the organizers want. This fighting events are not FGC events, they have a vertical structure, where the majority (the players) aren't involve with the what is decide or not. A clearly example is EVO, they sell themselves as a FGC event, as if it where organized from the roots of the FGC, they even make polls to determine what games will be included in the events, but we all know the publisher's money is what really determine it. I would prefer they adopt MLG style, and be sincere about their status as a for profit publisher's driven events, instead of FGC events, where the C is clearly for community.. Also. If you worked at a company that developed a game that you designed, wouldn't you try your hardest to promote that? Obviously you would. You would be an absolute idiot to not promote your own product. There is nothing wrong with being smart and trying to actually make a living out of something you love. You are never going to succeed by simply playing games. And if you do see some form of success it will be extremely short term. Unless you're smart about it and make a brand of yourself like some people do.
That's just my opinion though.
you're really out of your depth here, bro. Where are you getting this insane theory? EVO is hollywood because its EVO. Almost no other tournament is run even remotely like that. But that is exactly my point, this competitive events are driven by money from publishers, it isn't about what the players prefer, instead it is about how much money the publishers invest. Just use a little logical reasoning here. Do you think publishers are going to dump a bunch of money into game/event that nobody has any interest in? And do you think an event is going to deny themselves revenue from a scene that has a huge backing and will have a lot of participants? But that is exactly my point, this competitive events are driven by money from publishers, it isn't about what the players prefer, instead it is about how much money the publishers invest. I don't get how people are supposed to run consistent tournaments if they don't have any sort of backing to do it. Or at least some sort of incentive for the community to even attend that event. I don't get the thing about commentators. Most of the time, unless it's a properly organized tournament, anyone and their momma gets on the mic. There is nothing wrong with having set commentators who will do their job. I've noticed that the people fans enjoy tend to be very flakey. It's usually because they are also competitors that can't keep their cool when they get on the mic. It's not always a good look. But that is exactly my point, this competitive events are driven by money from publishers, it isn't about what the players prefer, instead it is about how much money the publishers invest.
