Microsoft has announced via Polygon that Iron Galaxy Studios will be developing Season 2 of Killer Instinct for Xbox One. For those unaware, the Chicago based studio is responsible for a number of fighting games over the last few years, which include the much loved Divekick, Street Fighter III Third Strike Online, Marvel vs. Capcom Origins, and Darkstalkers Resurrection.

well they didn't develop those games, to my understanding, they ported them and patched them right?
Well to be fair they aren't developing anything seriously new... they are just adding characters and stages.

I hope this is good though, I don't want ot be able to tell the difference between a DH job and a IGS job. Unless IGS job is better :)

I only hope the balance is going to stay stable. I havent played KI before, but it seems quite balanced. Adding a new developer seems quite odd, let's hope it works.

The brains behind Divekick and 90's games ports will add new chars and stages to KI ...???...good luck with that, lol.

Double Helix did a wonderful job, specially the aesthetic aspect of the game; even I that doesn't like the new Jago or Glacius, have to admit that the game is visually outstanding (I can't commentate about the gameplay but from what I see looks good). Now Iron Galaxy, well, the only fighting game entirely made by them is Divecrap, so... again, good luck with that, lol.

TYM spends 3 years complaining about capcom monsters for shitting on NRS games.

New kid comes to town TYM is the first to shit on them. Finally found someone small enough to pick on I guess.

OH THE HUMANITY

Here's to hoping that instead of a trickle of content, IG will develop all of "Season 2" and release it at once for maximum hype. House of Cards, anyone?
