What's new

Are we as a community ready to enforce 3/5 for the entire tournament?

Are we ready to enforce 3/5 injustice at majors?

No. As a watcher mostly now, around 50% of all the 3/5 matches are boring, no matter the characters played. Top 8 3/5 for sure, the rest is unnecessary imo. Maybe 4/7 grand finals, but god forbid it's Superman vs any other char.

There needs to be a rule on how long we wait for a player who plays other games because most of those guys take advantage of our generosity and take 30+ minutes to play their other matches. As ive said before the only player I never had problems with is @SonicFox5000

This is a very difficult thing to define, because they are paying for each game they play in, paying to be at the event, and the TOs are aware of anyone who preregged being in multiple games. TOs are more than willing to accommodate the Chris Gs and Sonic Foxes because they excel and draw viewers and possibly competition. This is part of he business aspect. There can only be so much time it takes before a player gets back, but there needs to be a rule established where first come first serve, no other tournament can interrupt and steal a player out of the line up. So say Fox is playing DOA, and he is called for SC, that's a lock. We can't sneak in and get him for Injustice. I've seen that shit happen to us and it sucks. As long as we are aware a player is in the building, playing another game, it's VERY hard to DQ them and you have to go to the person in charge of the entire event before you do because they are the ones who will be held responsible. It's bad if Injustice DQs Chris G for being in the Grand Finals of Marvel.

THIS IS WHAT I THINK: 2/3 SHOULD BE THE TOURNAMENT STANDARD BECAUSE SUPPOSE YOU HAVE TO PLAY 7-8 PEOPLE TO MAKE TOP 16 THATS POTENTIALLY 32 MATCHES IF IT CAME DOWN TO THE LAST MATCH OF THE SET AFTER BEING THERE ALL DAY THIS COULD REALLY EFFECT THE WAY SOMEONE PLAYS. WINNERS AND LOSERS FINALS SHOULD BE 3/5 BUT NOT THE WHOLE TOURNAMENT. THE STANDARD SHOULD BE SET TO 2/3 FOR EVERYONES SAKE UNTIL WINNERS AND LOSERS FINALS +)

I have always been ready. From the first pool match to the grand finals, all Injustice tournaments should be 3/5.

But some players dislike 3/5 because they feel that 2/3 favors their characters. These players should be put on blast.
IF YOUR SAYING ZOD IS A GOOD 2/3 CHARACTER HE IS , BUT NOT NEARLY AS ANNOYING AS WHEN HE IS TRYING TO WIN WHILE ANNOYING YOU AND GETTING IN YOUR HEAD OVER A LONG SET:3/5. YOU TYPE OF CHARACTER PLAYERS SHOULD BE ON BLAST FOR TRYING TO ENVOKE THE 3/5

Agreed but its not really what im trying to say. Im trying not to use names cause its more than chris g. A certain player took about 40 mins to play their match and they were in AE and a amine game, both in pools. Sonicfox had 3 other games to play and took 20mins and still came to me to update me on his status in between each game

This this and this. Could not be worded better.

At @RapZiLLa54 events they do 3/5 round robin and run 100 matches within 3 to 4 hours. So it can be done. But it really comes down to how much time and how many people. The more people there are, there more time is needed, 2/3 for pools and 3/5 finals is my preferred method .
3/5 for 4 qualifier pools of 6 to 8 players a piece on 5 to 7 setups is cake because there's never a bottleneck. There's always 7 matches going on. Make no mistake about it, budget the time, and it can happen for regular tournaments.
