Are you guys dumb? Forever king didn't even say a word, the rules state that if someone has an equipment malfunction they lose the match. The same thing happened to Nightmare SF at Evo and they didn't cut him any slack.

Nightmare SF wasnt winning and it wasnt mid combo that would end the round. 2 totally different situations

I'm always pron taking the match, BUT that was the wrong call, it should have been unpaused, see if King would have died

1. If not King get the lifebar

2. If King does die it continues on normally

And even if they decided King just gets it, he shouldn't have got the whole match but the lifebar.

One round is too random, where do they start? how do they deal with meter advantage/disadvantage? What about the time? Way too many variables.

From a competitor stand point, I know how Perfect Legend tries to get in your head before the match and in the match, while playing very fast to over whelm you.

Get you thinking about x and y, while he plays too fast for you to play the match in front of you.

The controller thing could have been very easily planned. An "innocent accident" that would get in FK's head, or give him an option select for when he loses.

PL can't stand to lose. These cheap things he has been doing since I met him at Frosty Faustings.

Notice how he is the ONLY player to complain about lag? Shock was right to tell him to STFU and stop making excuses.

which is why i believe there needs to be a standard. its hard on the viewers to pause for 10min everytime this happens, stalls the tournament as well.

This thread is pretty much why this community will never grow. In Starcraft shit like this happens all the time, they don't just hand over a round. Your biased opinions about PL aside, PL got robbed, and anybody else would be extremely emotional/angry about it .

Exactly. People keep saying "THE RULES ARE RULES". I'm sure there isn't a rule about "If one is bodying the other and through mid combo enroute to taking first health bar, your controller D/Cs you auto lose".

Personally, I think they should have just played it out. Forever King was definitely going to lose his first bar. At this point, the pause really was irrelevant. Just unpause and let PL see if he can finish his combo (which was 1 hit from being done.)

At the very most, he should have just taken the round and played out the second half of the match. Taking the match is a bit of bad sportsmanship, IMO.

Because they're talking about Perfect Legend. If this happened to somebody like KDZ or Tom Brady, or basically anybody else but PL, it would be alot different. With such a small community you'd assume the players be alot more respectful when it comes to such deciding situations. Talking shit is one thing but fuck...

i think alot of people are missing the point yes PL is a scumbag sometimes but that doesnt mean he should be screwed over. if a game pauses during intros before "begin" does someone have to give up a game too? or during a round win animation? thats incredibly stupid
point is it doesnt matter who it happened to its just a dumb rule

King should've taken the game, it's player error regardless of what happened. Not some outside force or distraction, just a player/their equipment messing up. It beyond sucks for PL but that's just how it goes sometimes.
