GGA Pimpimjim wins Ghost Battle Series # 30!

[GGA HAN]

With a great turnout of 18 players for this early edition of Ghost Battle Series, the NEC Champ made his way all the way through winners to claim his second GBS victory in a row.

With the last minute preparations for Final Round happening and many of the local Chicago scene making the trip to Atlanta, GGA ran its local earlier than normal this week. That didn't stop the regular crowd and some new blood from coming out, including Heroic Legacy's Asian friends known as NobodyExe and SoonksBestFriend.

Hruza Da Bruza made his usual late entrance, being forced into losers by missing the first few rounds of the tournament. I personally wasn't feeling up to playing, fighting a flu all week. Emperor Twisted (aka BradysMom) had another strong showing for himself and helped complete our meta with his Aquaman and Superman, finishing 3rd overall, with a big upset victory over Slips. Max and his Bane tactics learned from the League of Shadows had another strong showing, defeating 16 Bit, Wafflez (known as DiaperBaby for the evening) and Saucy Jack, after being sent to losers early in the bracket by Slips' patient Deathstroke play.

This set the stage for a Grand Finals showdown of PPJ vs Max, 2 of the young guns, half of the 4 "Gods of GGA". PPJ started with his legendary Hawkgirl and eventually after being reset, was forced to totally complete the GGA meta by going to Martian Manhunter. Max made a last ditch effort counterpick in the reset, but it was not enough to win the night.

Good shit to ppj as someone who's just picked up hawk girl I actually learned quite a lot from watching him. What I am wondering is how he stays in the air after a mb mace charge, is that pressing 4 as soon as the animations over or what?

Close, you press 4 after you hit MB but before the MB animation finishes. Then you have to hit a direction or attack after, otherwise she'll hover for a second and then drop. Once you know the timing it becomes second nature easy, and leads to MASSIVE swag combos in the corner.
