@Grr won an impressive set vs @KDZ to advance to Grand Finals 3-2 and wouldn't be denied of putting on a show for the crowd. @R.E.O. in the first two matches was getting perhaps a little too flashy going for YOLO super finishes and it cost him huge as Grr capitalized and made him pay by resetting the bracket! Grrs Bane takes the first match of the reset but REO wasn't done just yet. While the next 3 matches were nail biters REO managed to edge them all out to take Grand Finals and make Grr listen to reason!

You may also notice REO has two more medals on his neck. He also took MKT vs @Shock and then UMK2 vs @Mikemetroid. Hopefully @9.95 can do a write up of these matches because unfortunately I was packing up and didn't get to see much of this action.

Phycotica who came in 3rd Place at the last monthly was determined to take home that trophy this go round and didn't disappoint ending up in winners but @Mikemetroid in such a short time was ready with the Saberdoge! Sadira vs Saberwulf, Phycotica after losing the first match to a huge comeback from Metroid, gained his composure and took the next 3 in a row to become the new Champ of KI3 @Blu Planet!

@Insuperable had recently defeated @R.E.O. in Mk9 at BPK the week prior so you probably expected a run back in Grand Finals right? WRONG! @Mikemetroid defeated REO's Kabal in a comeback on roof top day with Johnny Cage to face off vs Insuperable in Grand Finals. We start off with Johnny Cage vs Jax and Metroid jumps to a commanding 2-0 lead to reset the bracket but @Insuperable decides he can win this with his eyes closed and pulls out Kenshi. Soup makes an incredible comeback in round 1 and eventually takes the match to setup a counter pick of Striker?!?! Madness but it all ends with Metroid going back to Cage but blindness appears to strong in the end and Soup denies the bracket reset!

There was also a special trophy at this event that was awarded to @REDRUM for the lowest point total in Injustice by edging out @Shock by 1. I love you man! Fraud Place!

All jokes aside, I want to thank @REDRUM for all his commentary as well as @ISF_AWG_Indecisive. @9.95 for running an incredible stream, @Shock for bringing the NJ crew, @Mikemetroid for 3 out 5 2nd place appearances, @Whitefox for coming out to his first tourney, everyone who made it a great Saturday and of course Blu Planet Comics for allowing this all to happen! We had an overall of 22 players come out from all over the Tri-State and I can't thank you enough for the support!

We'll have all the hype matches uploaded to Youtube by Monday/Tuesday and I'll update!

Will there be a YouTube archive? This sounds like it was a bunch of fun, but I, and I'm sure others, didn't get to see it, what with SCR stealing the thunder and what not.

UMKII Mileena still is a monster. Turtleing and that "Kabal"-like Roll. I hope she gets nerfed a bit more.

@Mikemetroid 's Cage and @Shock 's Raiden were fun to watch. I'm glad that Shock did the Raiden frame traps I was talking about in the stream chat haha ... good shit.

I also wanna say thanks to the NJ, PA, and other guys for coming to this event. It wouldn't have been as great without all of you coming for the trip. Also thanks to Rapzilla for running the event and the others who helped. And big shoutouts to 995 for making the sick trophies and medals.

It was fun playing against @BlackBryan, @Indecisive, @Shock, KDZ, KingJames, @Vito DeVito , MikeMetroid, and everyone else. There were a lot of new faces I didn't get the time to play against, but definitely next time.

@Grr is starting to get really scary with Bane. Every week he's improving against me. He started playing more patient and calculated with his offense and armor usage. No doubt in my mind Grr will come close to dethroning me soon enough.

I got to try out and play UMK2 for the first this weekend. The game felt nothing like MK2 (which is a good thing IMO) but great in it's own way. It was like it's own game - a completely new one to play, explore, and learn in. You could actually MOVE without the retarded walking animations interfering which was the number one thing I couldn't stand about MK1 and MK2. The low tiers were buffed to the point where they're actually WORTH using and dangerous now. I really enjoyed playing the new Reptile and Sub-Zero, but ultimately stuck with my old main - Mileena. Really looking forward to playing the next upgraded version next month. :)

congrats glad to hear some news on REO (ive been away from tym for months and last time i checked reo had stoped playing injustice). is there any match footage?
