Flash/Superman - Which is deserving of more props

Okay? I feel like you're trying to debate me on something I don't care to argue nor am arguing about like who has harder execution. You have to put in work and time with any character to do well with them. You don't deserve more props for winning with Flash over winning with Superman.

People care too much about this petty stuff to be honest.

People just like to label characters brain dead all the time because for some reason people need validation that their character is so intellectually stimulating, hard to use and requires so much thought and effort over others.

i don't think Flash takes nearly as much effort as people like to think, he just requires solid fundamentals. I understand that you have to work through most other characters gameplan before you can start your own, but that does not mean Flash is at a disadvantage. ATM he only has 2-3 MUs that are likely to be disadvantage

As for Superman, you now have to know your shit. His zoning tools have to be used in various different ways depending on the MU and you have to be very creative to open someone up. At a lower level he is definitely more dominate though. Imo he has a much more honest MU chart than Flash, though i don't think he has a MU as bad as Hawkgirl is for Flash

Yeah, he is like WW... He needs 2/3 of brain to get in... Once he is in he needs 1/2 of brain.

Hawkgirl isn't even particularly bad for him from my perspective and I do well in the match up so it's not for lack of ability that I think this. She might win 6-4 (I find this unlikely) or it might be 5-5....I don't see how a character who has no problem dealing with zoning from characters like Cyborg has a problem dealing with Hawkgirl's zoning.

Several of her strings whiff on his small hitbox (this weakens her offense), the damage gap is pretty notable, tons of counterzoning options. Should have about equal footsies if not better since his long ranged starters lead to more. Mix up game is better for him too. Her pressure is good and she can set the pace with smart play, but that in no way makes the match up hard for the Flash.


I just don't buy that this match up is any way shape or form difficult for Flash.

I'll say that Flash is more execution heavy and Superman has to work harder to open people up. He is pretty straight forward and doesn't have anything midscreen that will surprise you. Superman's most "ambiguous high low mixups" are 22 Scoop and F2D1. If you get hit by F23 in post patch, you deserved it.

I'm not labeling Supes as braindead, I'm just specifying how Flash is harder to use. You kan ignore the differences in time and effort spent at home between learning one character or another but to me it definitely shapes how I view players. Of kourse, if they use harder characters and then komplain all the time then it pretty much just throws it all away.

since the game's release I've played Bane, Grundy, Shazam and Ares. The day ppl around me start saying that Supes is still broken post patch and shit like that, I gave him a try. Well I HAVE to inform you, Superman ladies and gentlemen, is far more complicated than the chars I mentioned and many other clowns in this roster. Call me crazy, but whoever feels practicing some divine punches, give Kal some hours of thought and MAYBE you get a glimpse of what I'm talking about. (I've played some Flash too, other than RMS he's ridiculous)

Agreed on WW & Zatanna, specially Zatanna. Her fireball and trait are going to be annoying for Flash along with her ability to escape okies.

I'd have to say Zatanna and GL have a pretty good advantage. Others are about 5/5 IMO. Minus pig's Zod, that guy turtles and is so hard to get in on haha.

Not really. Flash has unreactable high low game, superman does not. Flash does wayyy more damage as well. Flash may be more difficult executionally (Injustice is incredibly easy in that aspect anyways), but he's pretty braindead in his rushdown.

Superman players have to at least think a little after f23 breath and think about how to put on pressure.

It's possibly unreactable but you kan kinda fuzzy guard it.. Superman kan make you kome to him and then beat you with his faster dashes and F23. Flash doesn't really make you kome to him, he has those 50/50's but he doesn't kontrol the neutral game as well which is where matches are generally won. Supes korner damage is also insane and his moves work well for putting you there. After Flash's Lightning Kick on block he must play defense which is one of Supes biggest strengths that triumph over Flash.

If you're only thinking about up klose pressure then yeah. Flash is easier. But if you're taking everything else into account, he's not. Anyway, accessibility does not korrelate with tier.

Agreeing on GL-Flash.

Also, what you said about the difficult aspects of each character pretty much sums it up on my opinion. Both deserve props. It's not as easy as just saying "My character is more execution-heavy nyah".

I just think Flash is funner to watch. I picked Flash cuz I want more people to play Flash lmao Post-update Supes does make the player work harder. I'd probably, in reality, say Supes. People say Flash is more execution based...dude has high ass percentage combos that he slows time for so the execution is almost next to none...and him staying in isn't really hard to do.
